I moved recently to CNY from Canada for work. I have many interests, amongst them: martial arts, biking, skiing, weight training, reading (fiction and non-fiction), science (I'm a scientist so it better be one of my interests), apologetics and music especially progressive rock/metal (though I enjoy classical music as well and other more "mainstream" genres). I am strong but gentle, decisive but also cautious and above all, respectful and understanding. I think I'm an interesting blend so if you can deal with it, you will enjoy spending time with me. I enjoy life as much as I can!
I am looking to meet someone fun and interesting and hopefully start investing into a relationship. I would greatly enjoy the company of someone with whom I can converse on many topics and I like being challenged. Let's get to know each other and then we shall see where it takes us- life is full of surprises. :) I am certainly not in a hurry and I don't like rushing things (unless there are good reasons for it); I believe that a solid friendship and trust are key components for any relationship. I value friendships very much so I have no problem with staying friends if nothing more comes out of it.
I have to say, I really enjoy a beautiful smile coming from a charming girl so looks are important to some extent, though they can't compensate for lack of basic culture ;-). I am very much aware that beauty fades away with time but I do believe that if you truly Love someone you will always see this beauty...
First Date
I think we just need to have a chance to talk and spend a nice evening (or afternoon): it may be a nice dinner and a walk, a night at the theater, a concert or a ski trip :).
And no, we will not go to the beach- last time I checked it's pretty far away from here. I don't understand why people from central states on POF still want to go for a walk on the beach (Ocean shore) on their first date (yes I know, it's romantic). This will happen later if we decide to go on a vacation together, hehe.
I am not a big fan of e-talk! And, in this information age, I value much more eye to eye contact than countless emails/telephone calls/etc... So please be warned: I intend to (eventually) take you out on/for [insert fantastic idea here].
