I think of myself as down to earth, interested in things beyond the material, love a good conversation, engaged in the world, definitely an outdoors/nature/animal lover. If you mention hiking, mountains, forests, rivers to me, you'll have my attention! My work in some ways isn't far off from my play: wildlife, global warming (that would be working to reduce it), forests (keeping them!) and more. I'm someone who loves exercise, prefers smaller gatherings to larger, casual over formal, and laughter over drama, vegetarian with heavy doses of chocolate thrown in. You will have to be able to laugh, especially if you eventually hear me play the guitar, where the choices are laughter or the tears from thinking, "he can't be serious? That's a year's worth of effort?" Maybe I'll make it up to you with some chocolate chip cookies..those rate much better :) I tend to like idealists, people who want to make the world better in some small way, and people who will help me chase my energetic dogs around. Anything that allows us to get to know each other a little better, whether its coffee, a walk on the lake front, listening to music somewhere where we can talk too, or anything else that strikes our fancy.
