I am an independent, confidante, and positive individual. My life is built around my friends and family mostly my son. I find happiness in the smallest of things. However living it big is wonderful to. Some people have described me as humble. I don’t know much about that. I do know that the things I do for my friends and family I do because I care for them. It’s never for self-gratification or for something in return.

What I am looking for in a man is quit simple really yet complicated. I am looking for a man that is not afraid to show affection. Someone that gets excited to hear from me. Someone that wants to be involved in my life as much as I want to be in there's. I like the chivalrous type.. I also prefer someone that doesn't want me around 24/7. I need time to myself. Someone that is confident with who they are. Someone I can trust my heart with. Someone non controlling. Someone who can fall in love with who I am and doesn't want to change me. Little moments in life where the best feeling in the world comes over me. These are the moments I want to share. Looking into a mans eyes and reading everything about him. Knowing that the look he gives me is for me. I want to see your soul in that look.

One word I use more than any is love! I love my family. I love my friends. And any opportunity to let them know this…I will. Life is about living and loving. So if you are afraid of either I am not for you.

Thought I would add this on since I have been gone from this site for quite awhile. I got disenchanted with it and decided to leave for awhile. Just activated my profile this week.
There are a few things I want to add...

1.My name is not associated with Vampires whatsoever some of you seem to think sending me a "bite me" message is going to break the ice with me. It's not...it's annoying and childish. The Vamp part of my name is a Jazz term. I have used it for years on line... and have never had a problem with it until I joined this site. It was one of the contributing factors of me leaving this site the last time.

2.Me being a strong independent woman also goes along with knowing what I want. Don't take offense if you write me and I don't respond. It most likely has to do with the fact that I am not interested in you. I don't want to waste my time nor yours. So move on. I am sure there is someone you can correspond with that is interested.

3.Also don't take offense if I delete you when you add me to your favorites. There's really no reason for me to be there if I am not interested in you. I don't want to send out any messages of false hope. Leaving you there would give the impression that I might like talking to you but haven't found the time.

4.I am aware that I am a very picky person when it comes to picking someone to date. More picky that I really should be. This might be viewed as a personality flaw to some. But I have every right to be. Why should I waste anyone's time or my own? I would rather be alone than be unhappy with the choices I make. Because at least when I am alone I can still be happy.

My idea of a first date would be to go somewhere non threating. City Museum, the Zoo, Art Museum. Somewhere that we can walk and talk. Or maybe just meeting for the first time at a bar having a drink or two and talking with each other. Another idea is to go to a club and see a show together. That way you can talk at some points and others you can just listen to the band. Takes the tension away. I never want to do the traditional thing. Dinner and a movie. That can come later after you get to know the person better.
