Here I find myself pushing 48 and on a dating site. Not quite where I expected to find myself at this stage in life but as the old song goes " life is what happens while you're busy making other plans". I have met some wonderful and interesting women, just was not for them. I am practical and down to earth. I believe that physical attraction is an important components to a healthy relationship but the size of your heart is maybe more important. I'm an active person who likes to spend time out in the outdoors hiking, skiing, biking, fishing and other outdoor activities. I have two sons that are grown 24 and 21. The oldest it at the university and the youngest is trying to get his Masters in Sargent in the Army. Unfortunately he is in Iraq at this time. Not happy about it, but not much I can do about it. I live alone otherwise I would not be one here. LOL I'm remodeling my house and in the kitchen stage and finding it is taking longer and harder work than I expected. :) Rats! Would anyone with a magic wand be available. I have lived all over the world and speak three languages. I have settled here and really enjoy the summers. This summer I plan to do some sailing and explore the sound. So I guess I'm looking for a deck swabby, just kidding, more in the line of a first mate. A little about me. I have a great sense of humour, I listen well, talk well and very easy going. Oh, time is relative and I make adjustments when needed. I'm not perfect, neither are you, the big question are perfect for each other. Perhaps the mathematicians were right in that two negatives make a positive. :) So, who am I in search of? Well lets see, I seek someone who lives on the edge of life but is grounded with possibilities. I want to start with a friendship and slowly taper down to a mental, physical and emotional crescendo of uncontrolled passion... or is it vice-ah verse-ah. Guess we will figure that out together? So, without further ado hope to here from you if I contact you, please respond, I find it a bit rude never to hear anything back. A simple "I have someone else in mind." if you are not interested would suffice. Then our electronic paths would have crossed for brief moment in time and we each continue on our way with no further despair.

Well - how about a casual first meeting for coffee or a walk around a harbor? Informal and comfortable - no stress. After all I'll be trying not to put foot in mouth, and being the consummate gentleman. Hopefully it is the first step to finding that magic we are both looking for.
