I'm a 25 y/o graduate of the Algonquin College Paramedic Program with aspirations of becoming a paramedic in or around the Ottawa area. I'm shy with some nerdish qualities, but it doesn't take much for me to open up. I pretty much like what most people like - movies(Boondock Saints, The Count of Monte Cristo, Four Brothers), music(Avenged Sevenfold, Cky, Protest the Hero, G'n'R), food(BBQ and cheesecake!!!), etc. I also enjoy going to pubs and concerts; I'm not too big on the club scene though.

Dislikes: A lack of a sense of humour; an inability to detect sarcasm; dishonesty; girls who make a pouty-face in every single picture; when people say they "like to have fun" because really, that's probably one of the most thoughtless, inane things you could say; people who think they're being smart by telling me I forgot the 's' in 'inane'; ooh...also, people who are so damn conceited that they don't even comprehend the idea of self-deprecating humour; when people say they like all kinds of music and call other people narrow-minded if they don't like rap or r&b...but these same people wouldn't listen to metal if they were being paid...seems a little hypocritical; when people say they're independent/blunt/honest....but euphemistically mean they're actually b!tchy(seriously...there's a lot to be said for tact and grace)

I swear I'm not always that negative :P

I'd simply want to do something laid back like go to a pub(not a club!...I'm not a fan) or maybe shoot some pool. It's not romantic, but it's a first date; it's not supposed to be. As long as it's fun and we get to know each other, then great!
