I enjoy reading and usually go through 10-15 books a year. I tend to lean towards those that have stories, particularly generational or of historical significance , but also enjoy a mystery from time to time.
I love intelligent conversation and can get quite philosophical from time to time. I find myself as being an idea man, but can sometimes get frustrated putting those ideas into action......maybe you can inspire me to keep with it?
I'm active and hit the gym at least 4-5 times a week. I love music, and grew up on 70's rock & metal, but these days I fnd myself gravitating towards progressive metal & rock. Nobody you've heard of, I'm sure, as I find most of my music online. The record stores just don't carry what I like, nor do the radio stations play anything worth listneing to. I like to hang out with friends and entertain, or go out to a concert or comedy show.
I have a great sense of humor (no time for modesty here) and can be sarcastic, dry, to completely silly and non-sensicle, dependng on my mood.
I have two kids who live with me, kind of......both in college, but one at home.
I'll update this later, as I think of items to add, but for now, drop me a line if you like what you've read.
I do have a picture, but it's private for professional reasons.
It amazes me how many people here don't have the common courtesy to respond, even if it's to say not interested.
UPDATE - CRITIQUE
Okay......I'm amazed at the amount of redundency on your profiles. "I'm looking for a good man, good hearted man, Mr. Right, my soulmate, my best friend....., etc." Well of course you are!!! DUH!!! I don't think anoyone is looking for Mr. Wrong or a total slug of a man, are they? If you are, then just go to any bar at 2:00pm on a Wednesday....And if you're looking for your best friend, how does your current best friend feel about that? And if he is your best friend, who do you go get drunk and eat ice cream with if the relationship ends? Just curious....
And another thing I've noticed......some of you are very specific in what you're NOT looking for. If your mail preferences are longer than your profile, something's wrong. Don't you believe in the heart? How many times has your heart and mind agreed? Okay....sorry...sometimes they're bad for you....but sometimes.....sometimes it's just what you need. Try being more open to people.....that diamond you're looking for could be in the rough (shameless golf analogy), you just need to venture there to find it......or be open to it finding you. Remember, you may not find what you're looking for, but you may find what's best for you....what you need.
So basically, what I'm saying is STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD. If everyone is the same, what's the point?

First date, huh? I'm more prone to a coffee house, something a little more relaxed and devoid of any pressure. You never know if you're gong to click until you actually meet, so I think something that's planned as a short meeting would be better. Of course, there's always the option to continue the date. |
