About Me
How to impress without trying to impress. I have no idea what other men have written nor do I care to find out. I see that a lot of women say the same things; probably men do too, and for the most part I believe as humans we are more connected than we think. However, I believe we are also unique and are here to live our purpose even if most of the battle is to find it. That being said I hope this monologue provokes your mind.
I like reading about the women who mark down their boundaries, walls, or as some like to put it, deal breakers. One of my best teachers once said it may be much too hard to figure out who you are but you can often figure out who you aren't. So some of my deal breakers may define me as well. Some are as follows. If you spend more time putting on makeup than you do striving for physical fitness feel free to pass me bye. If you spend most of your time in hegemonious pursuits, well guess what. If you need to look up that term, I forgive you. LOL If you have no spiritual development ambitions or if you spend all your time in either physical, mental, or spiritual endeavours, good luck to you.
So what is a balanced lifestyle anyway? And by whose terms?
I have read many resumes and have enjoyed them all. Of course my reptilian brain has had a hard time with this concept as most people are used to the job application process (Wouldn't you agree it sucks?) where we are used to throwing away 300 applicants without even looking deeper into what is on offer and then shortlisting the wrong type and wonder why we are where we are. I am no exception to this phenomena, so if you have a better way please let me know.
So a little about me. I was reading some books about the subject of relationships; authors such as Christiane Northrup, Deepak Chopra, Bennett Wong; way too many to bore you with and I thought one thing many of these authors purport is that you should have an excellent relationship with yourself. This I do. I am comfortable in my own skin. I cry watching movies; I cry when I hear a compelling personal story; I cry for no reason some days. Maybe it is my strong feminine side.I realize I am not the most romantic out there; I prefer deep meaningful communication anytime but I am brought up to accept small talk just as easily and can hold my own about the state of the Canucks, or the state of the union.
I have for some reason always wanted to do my best at whatever I tackle. This meant taking the time to learn and the discipline to pick up and redouble my efforts when necessary. I have always loved the outdoors and grew up participating in many sports. I still love to play tennis and golf. BTW, back to the comment about doing my best. I had not golfed much for years so I took up the game again and practiced well enough to score a hole in one. High standards! well, you be the judge. After all, there must be hundreds of us competing for your attention. I like being outside and going for 3 or 4 mile hikes just about anytime of year, but especially summer soaking up some sun.
Enough for now. I'll leave the essence for last. If you touch my mind "Please be honest" but if you touch my heart "Please be true" but if you touch my soul "Please stay forever with me to the end of life". Too bad I wasn't the original author. What does a old soul look like anyway?
First Date
Go somewhere and listen to what is important to the other person, to find out how they have lived, what they learned from past relationships, what they are looking for and to communicate likewise.
