After 25 years of marriage, I'm looking for a fresh start. I haven't been on the dating scene for a long time, but am looking forward to meeting someone special. I have been a Registered Nurse in cardiology for the last 15 years and work at 2 area hospitals. My 3 wonderful "kids", ages 14, 19, 22 live nearby.

I really enjoy being outside when I'm off, not one to spend a nice day at home. Recently I have taken up tennis after a long time off the courts and ride my mountain bike when time and weather permit. Would like to take the convertible for week long trip along the coast and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

My goal is to leave nursing in 2-3 years and spend my time traveling, volunteering and doing the things I haven't been able to do because of work. I would like to take up golf and maybe snow skiing. Also take on skydiving and scuba diving.

I like women with a sense of humor but have a serious side when needed. Women who are sarcastic are turnoffs. The woman I'm looking for will have an independent side, confident in herself and abilities. She will want someone to complement her life, but not dominate. We should ideally have interests that are common and separate, allowing us to be ourselves and grow together, while maintaining our individuality.

As a first date I would probably go for coffee or wine somewhere where the atmosphere would be relaxed and the conversation easy.
