I am 47, and a Cancer (if it matters to you). I am separated, and yes, I am getting a divorce. I have not felt married for some time, as that would imply trust, companionship, love, and more that I currently do not have in a relationship. I have no kids but I am not opposed to you having them, or to having a child with the right person. I enjoy home life, as well as getting outside. I come from a large family that is close, even though we do not see one another all the time, due to distance and schedules. I am good at DIY projects, as those skills used to be my profession previously. As for heritage, I am half Norwegian; the other half of me is of Scot, English and Irish descent.

Eventually I hope to find that one person for me, and possibly marry again (even though I said if my marraige didn't work the first time, I would never do it again... LOL). Your age is not an issue for me, whatever it may be. Of course, I want someone that I am attracted to, and that is attracted to me. But my body is far from perfect, and I am not seeking perfection in yours. I am looking for someone that is reasonably close; in other words I do not want to have to travel by air to see you. Another item that has come up in comments about my profile is my name, "IBQQn4You". It does not mean that I will be barbequing for you (Yes, I love to barbecue, and I will for you.); it means that I B Looking for You.

Yes, I have a libido, and a very healthy one, although because of obvious circumstances, it has been necessary to suppress it. I'm not here to feed my ego, or add notches to my bedpost; as I said, I want that one person for me. I prefer a woman that has curves. I want a woman that will not wince or cry when I wrap my arms around her. If you do not like displays of affection (public and private), then I am not for you. I am very physically demonstrative, but not one that wishes to cause harm or hurt to the one I am with.

I have a strong personality. No one has ever said that I have a milquetoast personality. I can also be stubborn if I believe what I am saying to be true; not to the point of obnoxiousness, however. I am a very forgiving person, as long as that which I am forgiving is not a constant occurrence. I take responsibility for my actions. My parents raised me to be a decision maker. The ability to make quick decisions (not "snap" decisions; I think there is a difference) has served me well in my past experiences, as well as my current profession. I worked in Telecommunications Construction for 22 years. I also spent 6 years in the Marine Corps; my MOS was 2871. I have a big heart, and a very compassionate personality as well. Many have said (including my future-ex-wife) that I am a good communicator. Listening to your heart, rather than your words, may take a little more effort on my part, as I get to know you.

I believe in continuing education for adults. No one is ever too old to go to school. I want to go back to school to finish my degree in Criminal Justice. I work in Corrections as a line staff member at a Special Commitment Center, specifically with Sexually Violent Predators. It is not necessary that you go to school, but it is important that you would support my goal. I do a lot of reading, whether it is policies at work, something I am curious about (I am a very curious person), or a book to pass the time with while watching a storm outside. I speak English, German, some Japanese, and some (very little) Norwegian.

I do not ride a motorcycle, and I probably will not in the immediate future. I am not into horses, although I think they are beautiful, strong animals. I am not a cowboy, so riding the open range is something you would have to do with someone else. I do not dance well, although if you are looking to be embarrassed, I'll give you my best. I do not live in a bar, or drink every night. I do drink, but prefer to do so where I will be safe (and the public will be safe) should I drink a bit too much. I am not into drugs, so if you have an addiction to a drug other than me, you should look elsewhere.
