Profile update.
I will not be changing to meet anyone. I am who I am. I am working on losing some weight, but if you don't like me now, you won't like me when I do. I've learned since being on POF that I am a heifer, but sadly that wasn't an option to check, so I put a few pounds overweight. This apparently means significantly overweight, but I'll leave that to your discretion.

I don't play games. Since the meaning of "games" has been done to death in the forums, I thought I might give you my definition here. It means if you send me a message that is cut and pasted from your profile, I will assume you have cut and pasted and sent that same message to numerous women and are waiting to see who responds so you can choose who you like best. That is sometimes followed by vague messages to keep someone interested in case the one you chose first doesn't work out. I want to be chosen for myself, not because I beat someone to the email punch or because someone else didn't work out. I don't want to hear "I'm taking things slow", "I'm not in a hurry" or any other trite sentiment because we all know no one says that to someone they meet and like.

I'm not here to make friends. So if we meet and we don't think there is a connection, we will not be friends and we will not remain in contact with each other. I must be the only person in the universe who feels it IS possible to have too many friends. In this day and age with jobs and family, I can hardly keep up with the friends I already have, without coming online looking for more. I suck at email..I'm not looking for pen pals. I seriously believe I could live the rest of my life and survive wonderfully without hearing "let's be friends" ever again.

I have no baggage. Since the meaning of "baggage" has also been done ad nauseam in the forums, I will give you my definition of baggage. I have no bad ex stories, I don't do drugs, I take no medications, I have no prison or asylum record, I have no health issues, I have no renegade children. I do not consider my children and my life experiences as baggage...I look at those in a positive light.

While I'm not considered thin, I am in good health. I can walk for miles without huffing and puffing, I have no problems walking up hills, stairs or peddling my bicycle. I don't need medications for high cholesterol, high blood pressure, anxiety, depression or panic attacks.

I am smart, witty, intelligent, have loads of common sense and I make no apologies for it. Nothing flies over my head unless I duck. I love my job, my family and my friends. I am not looking for a white knight to rescue me and I don't need someone to financially support me.

I do not look cool in short skirts and I do not look hot in tight jeans. I wear what I want and what looks good on me. I'm a great fan of hats, sunglasses, umbrellas, pearls and flower pins. If you message me and your profile in anyway eliminates me from a prospective date (i.e. age limitations which eliminate me) I will not respond. I think I'm also one of the few that believe it's not necessary to respond to all emails here. If you write to me with criticisms, critiques, sarcastic remarks, obvious blatant lies, advertisements for sex or any other online garbage, I will not respond.

If you consider this to be a negative profile, then that's your perception and you're entitled to it. I'm actually very upbeat and positive and I smile most of the time. I'm about 3 weeks past accepting all the bullsh*t that people pass off as dating rituals...and it shows.

I like posting in the forums with little regard to the consequences. I think the forums show the true measure of a person...people tend to speak more openly there...at least until they realize their posts end up on their profile.
