I am the guy who always gets setup with my friends' wives' best friends. The one that Mom is happy you met and is hoping you'll set the date. I'm stable (same company for 23 years), career oriented and love everything about family life. I love playing with kids because it makes me feel young and there is nothing better than the laughter of a child. I have been a Deacon in my church but am currently looking for a new church. I'm attentive but not needy. I share my feelings openly but can be rugged and tough when needed. Oh, and my personal favorite, I am just as comfortable in a suit and tie as I am in jeans. That's not really true. I'm most comfortable sitting around in my underwear but decorum forbids it (Even when alone. So I've been told).

When I read that, I think "boring" with a capital BORE. I also think "YUCK" and "PAAAALEEEEEEEZ" and are you REALLY a man seeking a woman.

So here's some additional information to liven things up a little. I occasionally travel for business and ensure that the pool boy is ripped for your enjoyment. And I don't have a pool. How cool is that? I will take you to the best restaurant in town on my Harley (don't actually have one) or to the worst restaurant in town in my Lexus (don't actually have one of those either). Oh yes, and I fart rainbows.

With that in mind, I don't expect this write-up will get me on everyone's favorites list unless I make my profile picture an underwear model and add some romantic Italian phrase as my headline. My buddy also told me that using the word fart would eliminate some quality women but I'm willing to roll the dice on that one.

Since we're being honest let me just say that I'm not sure I'm capable of handling the pressure of being on anyone's favorites list. Since I haven't been on this site for a while, what does the favorites thing really mean anyway? I would like to date you? I think you're interesting? I want to have your children? I need to know because if someone falls asleep while reading this and their crashing head accidentally adds me to their favorites, it could just send me into the fetal position.

I digress....

The real me can be a little boring (American Idol boring, not Star Trek boring) Please, no more hate mail with the word Klingon in it - it was a joke. Despite my unassuming lifestyle, I do enjoy some activities that are widely accepted as "fun". I have been a certified scuba diver for 13 years and it never gets old for me. I do enjoy cooking (again, I am a male seeking a female) because there will always be something new to try and I like to eat. In full disclosure, I am almost always the entremetier chef but that doesn't mean I don't like to cook. Don't judge me. I enjoy a good bottle of wine but if you want to serve a bad bottle of wine I most likely could not tell the difference. Pinot Noir is the way to my heart.

I really like doing new things. Probably wouldn't find me buying dugout seats at the ballet (they have dugouts, right?) but it sounds like a great evening to put on my best tuxedo t-shirt and really do it up right. I do like going to Broadway musicals but I am a guy and I love sports more than anything else. My football team is the Vikings (yes, I am long suffering) but I cheer for the Cowboys for my friends. I love the Stars and Mavericks.

...Boy this just got boring and predictable again so I'm done. (btw. I used the word boring 5 times in my profile. Is that bad marketing?) If you have any friends you want to set me up with to make their mothers happy, just send me a note. :-)

Really depends on the interests of the person on the date. I think contrasts in activities are interesting as it shows you a person's personality in a variety of situations.

Kimball Art Museum followed by pool, darts or shuffleboard at the local pool hall.

Baseball game (slow sport with lots of time to talk) followed by dinner at a fancy restaurant.

Dallas Symphony at the Meyerson followed by enchiladas at the Blue Goose.

Dirt track car racing (I know nothing about the sport but have always had a good time there) followed by a night cap at a wine bar.

Just some suggestions... Pretty much up for anything at least once.

Note: I am not into the dance club scene. I appreciate people who enjoy that because they are usually very outgoing and a lot of fun to be around. However, my "moves" leave a little something to be desired.
