About Me
I stay pretty busy between my job, my home and my daughter. I have been divorced for 4 years and am enjoying life. I like cooking, hiking, snow skiing, camping, traveling, reading... I'm just generally happy doing most anything. Being optimistic has served me well - I'm generally lucky, or maybe it's just good karma.
I like almost all kinds of music - it just depends on my mood. On weekends I might do home improvements, hang out with friends or a take a swim. I'm not a health nut but I do try to get out and do things, even if it's just walk the dog. I'm not a couch potato and I don't want to spend every evening or weekend on the sofa glued to the TV, but I rent the occasional movie or flip through the channels from time to time. Movies are more fun to see with someone so you can talk about it afterward. :) I like cooking and do so most evenings while sipping a glass of wine. It's my daily 'decompress' ritual.
I do like to go places and see new things - just got back from 5 days in Washington DC and already thinking of where to visit next. I want my daughter to know the size of the world and I want to show it to her as I'm able. I'm not interested in having more children, but welcome more children into my life if that's the case. That wasn't one of the options under 'children' hence 'undecided'.
My friends would say I'm smart, fun, capable, pretty and considerate. (And one of my BFs would say to include I own power tools and a mower. Apparently it's quite the 'selling' point where she is.) I would say I'm basically looking for the same thing. (Power tools/mower optional, sense of humor mandatory.)
I like who I am and I've reconciled with my imperfections; my identity doesn't lie with a man, nor in spite of one. I'm comfortable by myself and I don't believe people 'complete' each other; they 'complement' one another. That being said, I'm looking for the one who complements me and is the right fit but I'm not in a hurry.
