I guess I'm blessed with genes that make me look and feel at lest 10 years younger than my age. Thus, I prefer dating younger men - or at least someone closer to my age. No shortage of interests but most younger men are out looking for a "cougar" or find it exciting and they are playing "boys just wanna have some fun" game. Not a problem there either if I was into the game. Well, it's more like "been there, done that" for me now. Being an Asian on top of it, sort of gives another "edge" too, but it may be a jagged edge though. While men with "Yellow Fever", find Asian women exciting, but you can't help to wonder; is he looking for the stereotypical type of asian women? A "Susie Wong from Hong Kong" of sort? I swear to God, one of the guys said to me: "Hey, I've never been with an Asian woman, I'd love to try it out on you". Another WTF moment!! What am I? A freaking piece of Angus cut beef? Wanna a bite?
Sure, we all have "issues" and myself included. Apparently, I was told that I came across as being "too confident" and "too independent". Damn, I thought that's what modern men like about a matured women, no? Oh well, that's what "I" like about myself. I suppose I can always pretend totally helpless and clueless once in a while. Gotta work on that. A friend of mine also said that I shouldn't be so picky.... what the hell am I suppose to do when there's no chemistry? Men complain about the same thing as well, so I don't think I'm alone there. Is that too much to ask for the right chemistry at least? What do you do when the person smells funny to you?
I suppose I could:
1 - wait till I'm 80 and find me a hot younger man of 50. (of course you know I'm not serious about this one, right?)
2 - be perfectly happy being single for life and just have lot's friends. (semi serious about this one).
3 - the hell with finding a partner for life and get a dog. (totally not serious about the first part but getting a dog part is).
4 - add to new year resolution list that I won't be single next new year's eve. (actually, I could care less about that new year's resolution).

Stepping down from the soap box now. Thank you!
Update - Yes, I got a dog! Yay!!
Let's chat over a cup of coffee or tea a bit and if we smell and look right to each other, we'll go from there.
