I never grew up. At my age I still dress in the current fashions and listen to the stuff the kids do. I substitute teach, so I keep up on the groups and styles. And, even at 50ish I carry off the goth look. I work hard (sub teaching and freelance translating), keep the health thing good. I stay slender by walking 5-10 miles a day, to and from work. I have long, nearly waist length, dark red hair. yeah, I know, my pic shows blonde. I'm a natural blonde, and the pic is a year or so old. I opted for red hair (it was that or purple).
I like to compose music, mostly dancy/new agey/classical stuff with accoustic and heavy stuff thrown in. Think Enigma meets Korn and their lovechild ends up with Chopin and ya kinda got it.
I like anything dealing with ancient history, prehistory, and alternative history. Nothing cheers me up like a good mass extinction.
Being busy I dont get enough time ta read, so most of what I DO read is nonfiction. For example, "When Life Nearly Died" was a real pageturner for me. It dealt with the Permian extinction. (That one made the asteroid hitting the earth..... killing the dinosaurs look like a piker).
I'm a great cook, Italian, Texmex, and good old American food being what I'm good at. My lasagna doesn't stand up, but people always take a second plate full. I also make a deep dish apple pie to die for.
I like Chinese, Thai, and other Asian cuisine. And I L-O-V-E..... LOVE hot foods. Yeah, I'm a chilihead.
Let's see..... I like classical music, baroque music being my fave. Singer songwriters are great, Kim Ritchie, James Blunt, Simon & Garfunkle, and others. I even have a little rap. I enjoy the harder stuff too. The likes of Evanescence, Korn, Linkin' Park, The Misfits, and Metallica are on my playlist. French and German Darkwave are my current faves though..... Wolfsheim, and Collection d'Arnell Andrea are both tres cool. Yeah, and who can turn down Johnny Cash's Hurt?
For movies I like (of course) chick flicks and drama, but I wont turn my nose up at AVP or Spiderman.
