Looking for friends and interesting people, as always. Knowing what to say is always a challenge. Write too much, and you bore people; write too little and it seems you have nothing in common. But here's the basic scoop:
I'm a positive and optimistic person who is loyal, shy, intellectual, and very caring. I enjoy time with loved ones, walking/hiking, swimming, nature, reading, travel, movies with depth, late night conversations, music, writing, and my career. At the risk of sounding traditional, I even like to cook homemade meals from scratch from time to time. I am a giver by nature (but not an enabler), so I get great satisfaction from acts of caring for those I love. I am a work in progress, treasuring the journey of life's twists and turns, rather than rushing to arrive. I'm comfortable with who I am, content with my lot in life, but always curious and inquisitive about a wide variety of subjects. If, in my adventures in online dating, I can find a few new friends to build authentic, transparent relationships with, I will have considered the whole thing a success.
I'm seeking, first and foremost, a friend. I am self-sufficient and not looking for someone to take care of me; rather I am interested in someone with a sure sense of himself who is willing to share his viewpoints, ideas, and life experiences. I want a man who knows that his triumphs come from the grace of God and that his tragedies are the stuff from which his character has been built. What makes a man attractive to me is his honesty, sense of altruism, open-mindedness, tolerance and self-awareness. I am not desperate to find a man or to make a long term commitment, but I am open to wherever the path leads. The relationships I have in my life are important to me, and I'm well aware of the work it takes to build and sustain a relationship, whether it be a friendship or a romance. I look forward to the opportunity to grow from the experience of knowing all I meet here. Since I am a committed Christian, my ideal mate will hold compatible spiritual views, however, I enjoy having relationships with people from diverse backgrounds and would welcome email from any members looking for friendship.
Have a great day! All the best to you in whatever you search for.
"This is your time; this is your dance.
Live every moment, leave nothing to chance.
Swim in the sea; drink of the deep.
Embrace the mystery of all you can be."
If you understand those song lyrics (or better yet know who wrote them and why), we would probably make good friends for each other. By the way, De Colores to anyone who knows what it means.
Peace,
Ruthannah
