I love the outdoors...hiking, camping, backpacking, snowshoing, kayaking, cycling-spring, summer, fall, winter...gazing at stars, gazing at ponds...dancing in the thunderstorm, shivering in a tent, bandaging blisters, drinking Tang...there is little about nature I don't like...Nature is a great equalizer, an incredible balm to the soul...I am a rare jewel, sparkling when my hiking shoes are laced and my treking poles are in hand...I solo backpack out of necessity, not by choice. I know some great easy hikes I'd love to share
I also enjoy line dancing, swing, visiting art museums, local wineries, classical music concerts, jazz, plays-I am open to anything that stimulates the mind...And of course, volunteer work-I believe it's critical to give to others, whether it's my time or monies...
What kind of man do I like? An active man whose kids are older (like mine!), is relatively financially stable, knows the value of laughter and the power of a gentle hug. My life mirrors my philosophy of adventure, service and learning. I don't believe a relationship should be a competition, but rather shared experiences on common ground. Even though I've spent the last 3 years moving a lot, I'm still open to where ever I am taken...
