My name is Tom, I am young at heart, outgoing, life loving, single, sun loving, all-american water rat. I enjoy being on the water, skiing, swimming, boating etc. I love to laugh, I enjoy long walks and bike rides, I am very spontaneous and enjoy doing things at the drop of a hat. Dancing, dining whatever, there is not much I dont like to do ..

I have been divorced for over 4 years, I have survived the emotional "plane crash" that divorce puts you thru, but I truly feel I came back a better person, so with that being in my past I can turn the page and move forward and hopefully find that special person to spend my good and my golden years with.

I do my best to keep in shape, I watch what I eat and exercise often, I am not a "Greek God" by any means, but would prefer someone who is conscious of the same lifestyle.

I am not looking for a "Barbie Doll" I am looking for someone that take's care of themselves, is spontaneous, personable, believes in God and has a genuine concern for other people.

I DO NOT DRINK, I have "NO PROBLEM" if you do drink, my not drinking was simply my decision, not promoted by the law, simply a decision I made over 8 years ago and to this day have stuck with it, and very proud of it.

I also like to do volunteer work, I have realized that there is a lot of personal satisfaction in giving of your time and efforts, sometimes a "Thank You" is priceless. As they say, "The best things in life aren't things"

As far as me I am a former business owner, sold my business after 18 years, big time burnout set in. Made career change at 50 and now I am currently an outside sales rep for a large tire distributor in Michigan. I Love It ... Broke the chains of sitting behind a desk, and the enormous amount of stress that being self-employed brings.

If I had the chance I would be living where it is warm, possibly in the Virgin Islands selling para-sail rides for a living, but I have a son that is my life, and he needs a Dad.

I have always loved the challenge of being in sales and the gratification of getting to know someone and having them place their trust in you in a business atmosphere. There is a lot of reward in that other than just making the sale.

The biggest thing to me in life is honesty, there is nothing stronger, my basic life theory is if there is a problem, get it on the table and fix it, make it work, whether it is a problem with a friend, work relathonship, whatever, it needs to be addressed, repaired then forgotten.

Guess how I learned that....because if you don't fix it now, it will be a huge problem in the future.

As far as the single thing, so far not bad, it has been fun, I enjoy the freedom of course, miss the 24/7 with my son, but he will be off to college in a couple years so this may be a warm-up, for now I would like to meet as many nice people as I can, enjoy their companionship, and see where the Good Lord takes me. You can't have enough friends !!
