I haven't been on this site for over a year so it's time to update...Wow! Where do I start? I've been with the same company for over three years now. About a year ago I started my goal toward management and due to the current economic "situation", I in turn watched 300 people get walked out of the building. Thankfully I belong to a small dept. and due to tenure, kept my job. I work for a specialized tech. support contract within the company, whose focus is on Tier 3 wireless data transfer. I went from technician to lead 10 months ago and just got promoted to supervisor. I'm very career oriented which is a new thing for me and it's workin' out dandy :) I grew up in Minnesota and received a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies in humanities. Then went back to school for computer networking. I love the summer months and get out golfing as much as possible. I really suck at it, but I enjoy it. I rollerblade, hike, bask in the sun all day, and maybe a bit of frisbee tossing. I try to stay as active and healthy as possible. I have a passon for photography and "developed" an eye for it once I moved to this beautiful state. I was a bassist in a band called Ephagy back in Minnesota, but am yet to find people to jam with out here. I've been playing bass for 16 years, guitar for 4, drums for 7, and played piano and sax when I was younger. On the listening side i'm pretty impartial. Don't like a lot of country or rap. My influences are Rage Against the Machine, System of a Down, Beck, but I like classic rock and love 80's music too. I crave Sushi Land at least once a week and enjoy all genres of food... I also cook!Meeting people online should never be as convoluted as it seems to be. What i'm looking for is simple - something easygoing with "possibilities". A nice woman who's beauty natches her personality would be ideal. There are so many ankle deep people now days it makes it hard to want to connect with someone. If the initial attraction is there, then why not take it one step at a time and see where it goes? Too many individuals, I think, find it easier to jump back online and get another first date than to give what they "may have" in common time to evolve. My ultimate goal is to be indipendantly wealthy enough from stock option trading to quit my day job. Until that day I'll keep climbing the proverbial corporate ladder. My pipe-dream is to shoot for National Geographic... yeah... that sounds nice.

I think the first date should be spent getting to know one another; have dinner or coffee and learn about each others likes, dislikes, dreams and aspirations. If all goes well, then maybe a second date.
