...in my settings, i have "must have a pic to contact" me.. this is not about what you do or do not look like, it's more about seeing who you are when i read your words...too many stalkers and fakies in the internet world, trying to make this a "fakie-free zone"...hehe ;)

.. i've an eclectic dry, typically "brit" sense of humour - monty python and blackadder, pg wodehouse, fawlty towers, princess bride, hot fuzz/ sean of the dead, eddy izzard, ar.senic and old lace, graham norton and dirty rotten scoundrels are a sampling...

i love to read; devour books voraciously...anything from the Dune or Dragon Lance series to murder (esp forensic) mysteries and Shakespeare to C S Lewis, Oscar Wilde and Russian authors with names i can't pronounce...with a bazillion t'others of every genre in between.... and i enjoy just as an expansive range of music and all sorts of stuff... (gotta luv the *stuff* ;)) life is so interesting!

i was born and raised in england, until i left home and country when i was 19, to join an international theatre company.. (graduated from high school just after i turned 16 - did a year's secretarial and a year's drama course after that..this is beginning to sound like a resume.. heh)

i traveled and worked within the theatre company for seven years in several continents; europe, africa, asia, north america...staying with the local people in their homes; from mansions to mud huts, attempting to speak and succeeding in wrecking, various languages.. swahili, anyone? lol....but i have now lived in canada for a while.. i still do make the odd excursion into europe (very odd..) to see my extended family.. they're spread all over the world.. sounds kinda like an pandemic... hmmmmm...

i was married for 16yrs, have been happily divorced since 2004.

i've started my own business which i ran for approx. 8 years, as a clown.. uh huh.. no comments.. tankee :P...

i still love the theatre - it's in my blood (sounds a tad on the uncomfy side, no? :)) but i am presently working part time whilst taking a real estate agents' course - the focus on careers which will provide me the hours and money needed so that i can continue to care for the needs of my children... once that is in place and the children are older i do plan on resuming acting again, if only at the local level...

another priority is starting to take better care of myself - as such i am now working out every day and watching what i eat and already feeling so much better for it...who knew it could work?! this is a lifestyle change and a decision made and i approve this message

i'm irreverant, but respectful, seldom solemn but often serious, yet love to laugh and just enjoy life as much as possible...acknowledging the sad and bad without allowing it to dwell...i prefer plain "mental" over judgmental and a growing living faith over a deadening religion; "they look for truth, but not for life" (terrible misquote )

... as far as my personal preferences in a man - well, yeah, male's a great start! hehe ;)... in the "shallow end" of things; i love the feel of skin on skin, so prefer a clean shaven (or stubbly can sometimes be lubberly :D) face for me to caress and kiss...

...on a slightly "deeper" note, i would love to find someone with whom i can share mutually enjoyed interests; to go to the theater with and discuss the production afterwards, relishing the cleverness of shakespeare's work, snuggle and laugh during monty python movie nights, camping under the stars, playing board/card games - laughing at the competitive streak between us, strangely drawing closer in the adversarial positions we find ourselves in, someone to tease and be teased by, sexual chemistry and overflowing passion, someone to be serious and crazy with, as the mood strikes, to just be myself and allow him to relax and be himself...someone who *gets* me...

"what i would do for a first date"... well, i'm not overly fond of the idea of bungee jumping... and swimming with sharks should wait for at least the second date, donja think? soooo, how about going somewhere where we could chat and get to know eachother a little..i know, a novel idea that, eh? ;)

i enjoy many things; from museums and art galleries to darts and playing pool, even though actually hitting the balls is more a matter of luck than skill for me :)

it could be movies, eating out (i prefer east side mario's to west side fancypants, lol... i love italian food )a new experience, or just skipping stones on the lake..
the main thing would be to see if we "click" or "spark".. (beginning to sound a little robotic perhaps? lol ;))
