I am a romantic at heart and my favorite movies are: Scent of a Woman and Captain Corelli's Mandolin.
I love to cook for others and experiment with my own recipes. I currently am learning to cook without salt for health reasons. I am really interested in the Mediterranean Diet! I enjoy checking out new restaurants and going places with an atmosphere conducive to talking.
I would say that I am a great listener. I joined the YMCA, Chesterfield, now just need to go on a regular basis.
I like women who are shorter than me or as some say, fun sized. But I also have dated taller women as well. Hard to decide if there is a certain kind of woman I am attracted to? I can honestly say that I like women, all women!
(Side note) As I think about it, I cannot really think of meeting an ugly woman? Yeah they may not be what I am physically attracted to but all women are beautiful in their own right... So if you are looking for a teddy bear, I may just be the man you are looking for! I would like to make friends and would consider a LTR, with the right person. I would also like to find someone who would like to walk or exercise and diet with me.
I recently read the following: GREAT FOOD, GREAT SEX The Three Food Factors for Sexual Fitness by Robert Fried, PhD and Lynn Edlen-Nezin, PhD; I WAS TOLD THERE'D BE CAKE by Sloane Crosley (finished: was hilarious!), THINGS I OVERHEARD WHILE TALKING TO MYSELF by Alan Alda, and GOOD CHOLESTEROL/BAD CHOLESEROL by Anita Hirsch. So one could say my reading habits are eclectic and varied.
My favorite wines are reds: Sangiovese, Zinfandel (old vine), and Cabernet Sauvignon. Though I do enjoy: Chardonnays and Rieslings for cooking and with certain meals.

ABOUT ME:
I am a 41 year old male who has been divorced for going on 15 years. I have two teenage children whom live in IL where I moved from. I just moved to Missouri, a two years ago & to share an apartment with my younger brother.
( He has lost his job here in MO and has returned to IL to live with our parents. Since I do not consider that a viable option as we live in an area where there is no work and I think I am a grown man and do not wish to live with my parents again. I found a room to rent in Chesterfield and for now it is a great way to control expenses while I am living here in the St Louis area.I work as a grill chef at Schnucks, though I am currently looking to improve.
(am considering moving back to IL to go back into the pizza biz) I am planning to return to college and complete my degree in Culinary Arts and business. I recently found out I have enough credit hours in college to qualify in MO to be a substitute teacher! Not sure how to begin and whether my grades and classes are what they would want though…

I also have discovered lately while I am ready to get out with a complanion, I am not ready for a long term relationship. Maybe a long term friendship with a great lady but I have things in my life which I need to accomplish before I really have much to offer to anyone.
(I have quit smoking in the last week or so... If you see me out at a party having one, I am a weak man but when at home or work I am not smoking any longer...)First dates can vary on what we both like to do, I can cook you a dinner that will knock your socks off or we can meet somewhere for a Chicago Styled pizza, listen to Blue Grass music, go to the Butterfly House, which I have not been to yet!
I am pretty open to anything, I am not much of a sports fan so a Cardinals game may not be for me. It is not that I am against the Cardinals but after the last strike when my son was 3 (he is now 18) I have boycotted baseball on principal.
When I make as much as a baseball player makes, I may go back!
