Tall, fit and athletic. I am a retired elementary school principal and have time to enjoy life. I am seeking a like-hearted and like-spirited woman with whom to share life’s adventures and quiet times. The lady I seek has the time and desire to spend quality time in a quality relationship. What’s important to me in this special someone is her spirit age: “Just how young do you feel?” Someone who enjoys travel, be it weekend getaways or day tripping. My favorite places? Western North Carolina mountains, Asheville, Black Mountain, Blue Ridge Parkway, Boone/Blowing Rock area, Old World Coffeehouse in Asheville, New York City. Locally, I enjoy the Dilworth area, North Davidson (NoDa) and Plaza-Midwood areas. I enjoy the atmosphere of coffeehouses, be it for conversation or just relaxing. In coffeehouses, I particularly enjoy local spots like The Smelly Cat, Caribou on East Blvd, Nova, and The Caravan in Belmont. The Dish and Boudreax’s are also favorite spots. The first Friday of the month may find me at NoDa and the Gallery Crawl. I think you will find me to be a very easy person to talk with, and you will feel very comfortable. Things that I enjoy are conversation of depth and meaning, as well as, light-hearted conversation. My musical tastes range from jazz to folk rock to soft rock. I enjoy artists such as Bob Dylan, Joanie Mitchell, Bruce Springstein, The Beatles, Damien Rice, and Dar Williams. I enjoy movies, especially independent and foreign films such as those shown at The Manor and Ballentyne. I exercise 3-4 times a week, keep myself in excellent physical shape and consider myself young in spirit. An ideal first date would be one getting to know each other over a cup of coffee.
