I'm so over ****ing drama . . .

I'm an aging punk named Ditch, I love hardcore, got a buncha tattoos, I'm a total neat freak and I like to cook. Back in WA and happy to be home. Music is probably the single most important thing in my life. I've got several pet peeves, one of them being when people spell 'cool' like this; 'kewl' . . . I generally abhor 'netspeak' as a whole. I've worked in the music industry as both musician and promoter forever and a day, I'm opinionated, smart, funny . . . blah blah. I own State of Siege Booking, Promotion & Management, as well as a web development company. I also dabble in writing (doesn't everyone?), and have been published in some regional and national publications. I am generally working on some sort of project whether it be an essay, "poetry", review/interview or something bigger. I've been on a skateboard for about 23 years now, and it hurts way more these days when I fall. I have a passion for both history and sociology as well.

I prefer bluntness to people being coy, and I'm pretty much straight to the point on just about everything. I'm brutally honest, and very sincere in what I say.

I do not drink (ok, a couple occasionally . . . heh) or use any drugs myself, however I don't mind someone who drinks occasionally, or smokes reefer.

Not looking for anything in particular, . I don't necessarily seek someone with the exact same interests as myself, nor do I shun those who walk the same path. You never know who is going to ignite the fire inside, so leaving all avenues open to exploration leaves one with that many more possibilities.

Three words that mean a lot to me, coming from each person involved, are; love, loyalty and respect. I'm a bit jaded though, so I'd like to see someone prove me wrong and show me that these three simple things aren't so far fetched.

I'm a hopeless romantic, and I would love to see someone put in a quarter the effort I do - that would totally suffice as I tend to go all out. I may not look the part, but it's true.

*note* I LOVE New Orleans, but am now living back in the Pacific Northwest.

About My Writing:

Sine I have been asked about it, i will post a little something here about it. I have been writing for many, many years, and have had the pleasure of being published in many magazines across the country. Mostly it has been opinionated essays, music reviews and interviews, however I do write other things. Being in many bands throughout the years, I've usually been the one to write the lyrics. They are highly unconventional, but they seemed to work. Even in times where I'm not in a band, i continue to write, thus these little pieces have developed the label of "poetry" . . . a word and from of writing I personally dislike . . . heh. However, it gained some attention and it seemed people were really into it, therefore I made it somewhat available to read, on a private area of the crackpipe of the internet - spam. Somehow a publisher got ahold of some of it, and I was contacted to submit a manuscript . . . so that is another thing I'm currently working on, although it feels pretty weird, having one's first book be something that is so raw and a lot of the time, very personal. To be on a date with someone who has integrity. Someone who is exactly who she says she is. Our 'faults' and 'defects' are what make us unique, and I'm open about mine, therefore I like to have the same honesty reciprocated. You may think these things make you look bad, but 99.9% of the time it;s going to make you look that much more interesting to me.

We are not saints.

If all of that is taken care of and out of the way, I imagine that just about anything we did would be pretty rad.
