4/7/08: I was dating someone, it didn't work out. So I guess I'm back.

I've been a computer dork for most of my life, though I'm not into bleeding edge technology. That may seem contradictory but I'm a Luddite that way. I like technology that isn't buggy.

I read, I've written a novel or two that will die in my desk drawer, I eat anything that's not moving (and a few things that are). I'm learning to like walking and hiking, IDing birds, and would love to find a Cooper's hawk nest this spring. [Update: found a sharpie nest, even better.] I listen to NPR and am hoping Obama will be our next president. [Update: YEAH, Obama!]

I'm usually pretty calm and quiet, and can be a bit hard to draw out of my shell. My internal life is complex, I think too much sometimes, don't think enough other times.

Women who do not easily attract men have an edge, I have it too. Except for sports, I am into things that are traditionally male -- hunting, fishing, computer dorkism -- and I get along much more easily with men than women.

I think I'd like someone who knows how to enjoy life and wants to share that with me. I definitely play too many computer games and don't get out enough into the real world.

Requirements for you: white or Asian, single, no drugs, systems mind, prone to thought experiments, looking for friendship that could become romance that could become marriage, financially stable, and possessing all legs and arms. You must be able to be around a large bloodthirsty bird. No evangelicals, right wing nuts, radical lefties, medievalists, crystal worshipers, PETA members.
Pluses: Under 50, 5’10” or so, dark-eyed, lanky, hairline ahead of your ears, no kids.

We could shoot some pool (I'm not good at it, but I like it anyway), have Ethiopian or Indian food, or just coffee. Hopefully talk and have a good deal of laughter.
