I am an attractive widow that just turned 62, "Ouch", but looks younger, thinks young and wants to find love again. I will not go gracefully into old age that's why I prefer someone a little younger but not ridiculously so. After being married for 32 years, I understand the complexities of a relationship. Too many people allow themselves to grow old before their time. ( If you've grown a scraggly beard, hiked your pants up under your chest, wear mis-matched clothes and are shorter than 5'10"; don't contact me!) I believe it's up to both parties to keep the marriage/relationship alive - comfortable, but still exciting. I would make him my number one, my best friend and would expect the same. I believe communication and compromise are two of the most important factors necessary along with a good sense of humor. I can dress up or be the girl next door. I am creative and am a published author of a mystery series. Book 5 of the series is coming out Nov. 2009 - Sunshine & Shadows.... It's about internet dating murders in the Clearwater/Tarpon Springs area. Don't be scared - for the most part it is a work of fiction! Biggest pet peeve is promising to call and then don't. Respect for each other's feelings is a two way street. Holding hands in public, flirting over a candlelit dinner, passionate kisses or dancing close to a romantic song are some of the things I miss. There should be plenty of time made for each other, but not necessarily 24/7. It's good to have different pursuits on occasion (as long as it's not another woman!)Usually I like to be the "Pickie" on these sites. A picture is a must and please, I'm begging you, look like it! There is nothing so disappointing as meeting someone that is just a glimmer of what was posted. Yes, you can tell I've had a few of those, but never the less, I am still optimistic. I think I need to add something...yes, I do smoke occasionally, but if you are a non smoker, I won't. Simple. Hey, they've been the only thing I could count on for a long time...if I can count on you..believe me...I'll quit!

On first dates I like to meet for coffee or a drink. If we want to extend it, then it will be our choice.
