Isn't dating so much fun!? No one is flaky about making time commitments, no one is hung up on ex boyfriends or feels “unready” to truly commit themselves to someone. If you are my one and only Ms. Right, beware... I'm really here just to enjoy the experience that is online dating and not fall in love or anything silly like that.
(It seems I need to state that the above is just my sense of humor about the experience that is dating. I am in fact hoping to meet a wonderful girl for a real relationship)

I am smart, fun, funny (try to be at least), and an all around good person. I enjoy witty banter (Tact is for people that are not witty enough to be sarcastic) and endless conversations on pretty much any topic you can come up with. I have been fortunate enough to have gotten to do many different activities, and travel to a few very nice places. Some of my favorites are days at the museum, movies, whitewater rafting, horse back riding, riding my motorcycles, skiing in Colorado, taking a day trip or a weekend trip with a good friend or someone special. I love to cook, and I think cooking together is romantic. I like to walk around NYC, or any town with interesting places to window shop or interesting sites to see. I love walking around in the fall. The cool air, the colors and the smell of the leaves, it’s a wonderful thing. It would be great to meet someone who also feels as I do, that it is not always about the activity, but about the company you are with. Some of the most fun times I have ever had are nights sitting on a friend’s deck and chatting until 3am, or playing cards or a board game with my family until late at night. I am the guy that says it how I see it, and often times how I think it ought to be. I can be a bit of an idealist at times, but I see nothing wrong with that. I am the type to bring you flowers for no reason and ice cream when you are sick, a phone call during the day to say I am thinking of you. It would be great to meet someone who can appreciate the little things as much as I do.

Of course I want to meet someone that shares common interests, and all the same things every other profile states. Its easy to find someone you have things in common with, but it’s the harder things to find that I want to list here. First I want someone that is over the ex boyfriend. I am a total believer in second chances. We all need a second chance from time to time. But I would not leave a good relationship to go back to one that already didn’t work out. Also, someone who is mature enough to have never broken up with someone through a text message or an email, or by just never answering them again. Unless the person was a jerk to you and deserves that, be mature enough to talk about it. I want to meet someone who will appreciate the little things as much as the big things. Someone who realizes that there is a difference between being a genuinely nice person and allowing yourself to be a doormat. I want to meet someone who is as willing to share in my interests as I am in theirs. At least be willing to try, even if you are no good at it. Someone who would be happy to walk outside with me on a clear night just to look at the stars and wonder with me what might be out there. Oh, and good kisser under those stars never hurt! Someone who will play board games or cards with me and the family, or sit on that friend’s deck with me until 3am. To quote Mark Twain "...to get the full value of joy you must have somebody to divide it with." And please, let us save the game playing for a rainy night with friends.

I think what I would do for a first date would depend on the person. I like to keep it a little more active and different from just "meet for coffee" when the situation allows. Maybe we can go bowling, and have dinner after. Or if its nice out, lets go play mini-golf. Something, anything, as long as we have fun. Then the second date can be something more fun, like a day out at the museum, or going whitewater rafting.
