My headline describes the gist of my life. You'll find I'm somewhat an overachiever and my idea of "fun" typically involves "effort":
- I like to study math; I am working towards a Ph.D. in Number Theory/Combinatorics.
- I have a passion for the game of pool; I'm gradually becoming a pool shark.
- I'm a mall rat who likes to shop and has expensive taste; I save ~$5000 annually by deal-hunting and bargaining in upper-class shopping centers.

I knew which university I wanted to attend and even where I'd be working in my early years of high school. As an undergraduate, I majored in math and computer science, plus minored in physics and the language of Japanese. I am currently working for the government doing both math research and computer programming, two things I love. Everything about my job is amazing: flexible work-hours, working with brilliant minds every single day, being put through graduate school, very reasonable pay, etc.

My current goals include completing my Ph.D. and saving up to buy a home in Annapolis, MD. It should come as no surprise by now that I even have a particular condo I am targeting. I might take the opportunity to do a 2-3 year mission overseas in the process. These plans lay the groundwork for my main goal. For reasons I'll be happy to explain later, nothing means more to me than becoming a "Dad". Ideally, I'll first fall in love with a lady. However, if that doesn't happen within a reasonable timeframe then I will happily adopt a son rather than settle. In particular, I want a lady who has put forth the same type of effort I have to establish herself.
