I am enjoy a range of activities from sleeping in on weekends to hiking in the Adriondacks, and I am looking to find someone who has similar interests (with a good sense of humor and knows that life shouldn't always be taken too seriously). Humanity needs a little more laughter and humor infused in it! I never feel too old to watch cartoons or sing out loud for the hell of it. I am someone with great compassion, understanding, and insight into someone's thoughts and feelings. In my freetime, I love staying fit by swimming laps and hiking in State and National Parks, or strolls in the city. I love reading the NY times science section,mysteries,and all types of fiction. Going to the movies is also something I enjoy doing. I've really come to like independent movies, but also stick the well known ones. I love catching up with my coworkers and friends over dinner and some drinks, and have no problem going out or staying in during the weekend.

I have a deep appreciation for nature, spirituality, and other's feelings,thoughts and values. I also love seeking new adventures which partly explains my enjoyment in hiking and exploring the outdoors. I am seeking a partner who is also insightful, emotionally and intellectually developed, and is looking for something serious. Romanticsm is also a plus and with a sense of humor akin to South Park. In short, a sophisticated, jackass would be perfect in my book, someone who can attend a formal event and then the next hour roll in the mud.

Lastly, I think that the song "Somebody" by the Depeche Mode purely describes the type of relationship I'm seeking to eventually develop with someone.


Likes: Working out, reading, writing, analytical thought and conversations, waking up early, nature, movies, happy hour, spending quality time with friends and family, trying different cuisines (beer), concerts, my job as a counselor, confidence, intelligence, integrity, traveling, outdoor adventures.

Dislikes: Staying out til 5am, ignorance, conceitedness, obsession with appearance, loud bars not conducive for conversing, close-mindedness, consumption with money and power.
