I work as a forensic scientist (and no, it's not like CSI. I don't get to carry a gun). My biggest hobby is music. My tastes lie within metal, industrial, and ambient, but I'm very open-minded when it comes to music. Bowling is another big hobby of mine. I try to go as often as I can. Video games and reading are occasional activities, though not nearly as often as I used to. I'd like to start reading again though. I'm generally described as the nice guy who will shock the hell out of you at times, heh. I'm a good listener and tend to not really talk about myself unless someone asks. I guess that can either be a good thing or a bad thing. It just means I'm quiet and shy. I've started going to the gym on a regular basis. I go about 4 days a week after work. So far, I think it's starting to pay off. I'd like to stick with it because I do feel better physically.
As far as what I look for in a woman. Above all else, she has to be intelligent. If I can't have a decent conversation with her, then there's really not much hope. Other than that, I'm not terribly picky. I'm not going to say she has to be a certain height, weight, or have specific measurements (which I find kind of ironic because I've seen so many profiles of women on here who say their men have to be of a certain height, etc. And men are called the shallow ones...

). I'll admit that brunettes tend to catch my eye more, but that doesn't mean I don't like blondes and redheads. Personality is what's most important to me. If she's smart, caring, and an all-around good person and we get along, that's what I care about. Don't get me wrong though. A physical attraction has to be there. But you don't have to be "perfect," or look like a model. Everyone has their own opinions when it comes to what's attractive. Looks fade, go with someone that will make you smile.

Above all, please be HONEST with me.
Oh, and if you add me as a favorite, please say hi. Does it really make much sense to add someone as a favorite if you never talk to them?

Update 03/09/09: Well, I've been going to the gym pretty much since 2009 started. My goal now is to train for a 5k that I've done for the past two years. It's just for fun, and in the past I've walked it. This year, I'd like to try and at least jog a good portion of it. My goal isn't to win, but just to have a better time than in years past. So I'm getting there. Doubt I'll be ready in time for it since it's in May, but I think I'll be able to do better anyway. :)
I'm a traditional person. I'm all about dinner and an after-dinner activity, whether it's a movie, mini-golfing, bowling, etc. Or just going to a bar or a coffee shop and getting something to drink.

The goal for a first date is to get to know the person you're spending time with and forget about all the other responsibilities that you have.
