I raised two sons as a single parent and, after burning thousands of dollars on hair gel, they are safely through high school and well on their way to becoming productive members of society who can support their own hair care products habit. If you’ve never been a parent, you’ve never experienced the heart-stopping extremes possible in the emotions of happiness and heartache. Well, maybe if you’re a Bears fan.

I’m easy-going and generally find humor in almost everything. Like it or not, life comes at you at full speed. Why fight it? I can’t afford the therapy. Instead, I prefer long walks, listening to music by candlelight, slow dancing like no one is watching, talking on the phone late at night, working out, trying out new recipes, burning dinner for more than one person, and re-programming the speed dial for new takeout joints. I’ve been fortunate enough to travel the globe for my jobs, but there are quite a few foreign countries and continents still on my list. (Antarctica is not one of them. Neither is North Dakota.) I like pets...I have a dog, a turtle (my son's), and a very musical bird of some sort in my chimney. I'm a movie buff, a book buff, and a burrito buff. I’m the happiest guy around when the company’s good.

YOU: Witty, laid-back, love to laugh, active, reflexively kind. Perhaps left-handed. Your sense of humor is quick and clever. If you’re right for me, we’ll crack each other up all night and laugh so hard we’ll bump heads. (You’ll always carry band-aids and an ice pack.) You enjoy a night in munching popcorn and watching movies as much as spending at day at the Art Museum. And you're strong, in both obvious and secret ways. Road trips, music, long walks, and all kinds of movies bring on your smile. You like dogs and you're easily amused...particularly if you got this far.
