I'm am an eclectic person. I enjoy fine dining with vintage wine at exquisite restaurants but can be equally at home at home with wings and a pitcher of cold beer. I like the Salvador Dali Museum in St. Petersburg and bull riding at the Countyline Saloon.... I also enjoy the rodeo in Kissimmee.. I love cruising the back roads of Florida on the motorcycle. I enjoy antique shops, country stores and old houses. Like I said, my tastes are pretty diverse... From Black tie and Evening Gowns to boots & blue jeans. I also enjoy the occasional cigar. I don't smoke cheap cigars.... Or drink bad wine.... Life is too short and important to do either one!!. If we were to meet and hit it off, you would enjoy going to antique fairs and shops, country fairs, motorcycle rides. You would treasure quiet cups of coffee in quaint, little coffee shops. Walks on the beach would sound good to you. We would also share a love of dancing and spending time together. Family is another important issue to me also… both mine and yours. I am extremely family oriented.
I'm 45 and divorced last year after 8.5 years of marriage. I have two grown children and three grandchildren. I'm 5'11", 240 pounds with short, salt & pepper gray hair. I asked my four best female friends to list my best qualities and they came up with... I'm kind, gentle and patient. I am hopelessly romantic, caring, thoughtful and respectful. I believe in honesty in communication above all else. Without good communication, you're dead in the water.....
One of my favorite books has been "The Five Love Languages" by Rev. Gary Smalley. I've concluded that my primary love language is physical touch... it fills my emotional tank to keep me going. I don't mean simply sexual touch, although that's a significant part of it, I'm taking about gently holding hands, cuddling to watch a movie or to spontaneously reach out and gently touch your mate just to say "I'm thinking about you and you're important to me".
My BIGGEST thing is my faith in God. I've been through some personal struggles this year that would've destroyed me if it weren't for HIS grace and mercy. With God's hand on the steering wheel, I'm getting through them day by day.. Being an active Christian and living a life of service is important to me. A life lived only in self-service is a WASTED life. My ideal mate/partner would have that same commitment to Christ. We would both place God first and let our relationship grow together as it grows towards Him. Now, Having said that, your personal beliefs are just that.. They are yours and they’re personal. I respects everybody’s approach to their faith. God only gives us 24 hours in each day. It's up to us to make each one count to it's fullest potential!!
One last thing and it may sound petty to some. I'm looking for somebody who takes pride in themselves and their appearance. They have integrity and character. They are careful and take pride in all their efforts in life. They are conscious of the affects of their words and actions on others around them. They have some elegance and manners. In their profiles and e-mails, spelling and content are important. If you're careless with something simple like that, how can you careful with something as important as a relationship??

Wow... A first date should be non-threatening. A simple, public restaurant that's quiet makes for easy conversation. Some place that you can sit quietly and enjoy a nice glass of wine.. or a simple cup of coffee. Sunday afternoons, if the weathers nice, make a good time for a nice walk after lunch and getting to know the other person. There are several Starbucks here in Melbourne and the surrounding area...
