| | There is a whole lot of confusion surrounding the profiles and their wording on here so I figured I would do my part with the following clarifications:
1. Pictures: Firstly, Its often typed that "its only fair to have a picture on your profile". They arent a representation of fairness. They are to ensure you are phsycially attracted to the person you are talking to. Lets not call it anything other than it is, and dont be embarassed to say you want to be physically attracted to someone. Relax, you're not shallow. You just have standards. Everyone is quick to say its the personality thats important. Dont believe it. If the outer you doesnt look showered, reasonably well dressed, and like you dont smell of hot garbage, the inner you aint getting touched by nobody elses outer beauty. Keep in mind that most pictures posted are what the poster believes are the best representation of themselves, if its not a fake picture to begin with. Appearances can be deceiving. Buyer beware.
2. The stupid poem about girls being like apples: False. Dont believe that the "guy who climbs to the top of the tree" to get the "best apple" always gets what he bargains for. Just ask Adam, Eve, or Snow White about those tempting apples and their eventual outcomes. With some of those high-up apples (aka high maintenance girls) you might work your ass off and still never taste the juice. The poem is just a way for girls who consider themselves to be "high-up apples" to make themselves feel better because guys with half a brain arent interested in all that work for something shiney when there are loads of other good apples on the tree that wont take nearly as harsh a toll on them. More work does not equal more reward. Its just a fact of life. Side note for the dimmer guys, Girls are definately not like fruit. Guys, for your own sake, on top of apples do not ever compare a girl to a pear either or you sure aint gettin any juice.
3. "If you let something go and it comes back it was meant to be". False. If you let something go there was likely a reason for it. More often than not somepone is your ex because they werent good enough to be your current. If you have something worth fighting for then hold onto it and dont "F" it up. If you screw it up you have nobody to blame but yourself. In addition, if someone comes back after you letting go, you might just be a 2am drunk booty call. Have your fun, but let them go again in the morning. You deserve better than to be a drunk dial/text.
4. Guys who take pictures of themselves shirtless in a mirror. I refer to this category of guys as Doucheabgs. Any girl who messages, or accepts a message from this kind of guy gets what she deserves. This kind of guy is obviously more worried about how he looks than he will ever worry about you. For the ladies, if his shirt is off he likely has abs, but is just as likely to have the personality of a dumbell also. Other indicators that a guy is in this category of douchebag....he is wearing gigantic aviator sunglasses inside (in his bathroom or bedroom no less), his hair is already gelled before he pulls a far too small golf shirt with collar pre-startched into a permanently popped position over his head. Despite the fact that he has 6lbs of gel in his hair he still wears one of those Euro trash soccer player hair bands. A tornado couldnt move that mess, the hairband is just redundent. If he is posing on a car or a crotch rocket, you will be arm candy that he hopes to stand by his car or crotch rocket, but he will always consider you second string and replaceable with any of the loser girls he tries to impress in the Tim Hortons parking lot at 10:30pm on a tuesday night.
5. For those of us who arent so internet savy....when someone types in caps lock LIKE THIS, it means they are yelling or speaking with a harsh tone. If you see a girl whose profile is written like that, and says things like "I AINT TAKING NOBODY'S SH*T" or "F**K WIT MY FAMILY AND URE GONNA F***KIN DIE" it means that she is yelling. It also means that she will yell at you at some point if you ever have the misfortune of meeting her. Seriously, we dont know her, why would we "F**K" with her family. If they put up with her piss poor attitude for twenty something years they cant be all bad. There is nothing you can do to avoid drama with a person like this. They will pick fights with girls, and sometimes draw you into fights with guys, because "BI**H BE LOOKING AT MY HAIR" or "THAT GUY BE LOOKIN AT MY T*TS". Save yourself being yelled at and avoid. Please refer to #7 on this list for further.
6. Guys who say they are more interested in a girls personality. This category I refer to as liars. Every guy wants to find the hottest girl he reasonably can. Before the hate mail rolls in, every guys has a different idea of what hot is. Some are breast men, some are butt men. Some like blondes, some like brunettes. There is someone for everyone, but dont be fooled and I believe that everyone has something uniqure to offer if you give them sufficient chance to offer it. I think a more accurate statement would be, "I am interested in finding a girl who I find attractive and gives me a bit of piece and quiet when the game is on and wont make me beg for sex once I commmit to a serious relationship with her". The same holds true for girls with guys but change the last part to "and treats me like a human being not just some warm oraface for sex".
7. "Im a nice person but I can be a ****": Beware of this landmine appearing on a profile. Its likely that shes generally a ****, but will be nice on occasion when she wants or needs something from you. Do not be fooled.
8. Pictures of girls from over head are to minimize the appearance of body fat, or emphasize/show off clevage. Pictures can be taken with the same quality at arms length with arms horizontal to the ground which will not give us the optimal angle to peek your goods. If a guy, who is 98% testosterone and 2% common sense comments on your large/exposed breasts in one of these pictures, you have been the author of your own misfortune. Take a picture with your chest hanging out, were gonna comment on it. Its just the way the male mind works, however, on behalf of our gender I will apologize in advance. Some guys just take it way to far with the dirt bag things they say.
9. Girls who say they just want a nice guy. This is only a half truth. There are plenty of very nice guys out there who would treat you like a princess or queen or whatever you dream of being treated like, but most of them fall far from what you have previously or would ever consider dating. Im not saying all good looking guys are jerks, or that all homely guys are decent either, but since the hot guys are use to doing nothing but hot girls, you are just one in a line of potential girls to shag. They have had hot before you, they can have it after you. They know this. |
