I take my friendships and relationships very seriously; once you are a friend, I like to keep you as a friend for life. I love to laugh and tend to view life on the positive side; I enjoy being with people who are the same. I may start out slow, but once you get to know me, I have a quick wit and enjoy the same in return. I generally hate this part of the internet "dating" thing...so much can be missed by reading a profile about someone. I could say anything I want to say and you have only your trust and instincts to know if I'm telling the truth or not. There's no voice inflection, no expressions, no body language to gauge whether you would like me or not. The more we write and get to know one another, you will see the qualities that God has given me, naturally and without the cover of a typewritten profile.

My favorite things are campfires on a starry night, a glass of wine after a long day, really hard ice cream (vanilla) with chocolate sauce, pineapple blizzards at Dairy Queen (can you tell I love ice cream? LOL), an ice cold diet coke, learning how to live my life right before God, family barbecues, a snowfall at night, cuddling with a loved one while watching a good movie...tons of other things. That's for you to discover!

I'm looking for a man who has a life of his own he's happy with, who wants to share that life with someone special, who loves family, and one who enjoys making new friends. A man who is living his passion, whatever that may be. If God is in the picture, that's even better!

My man will love me for who I am on the inside and will think of me as beautiful, even if my hair seems to have a mind of its own and hardly ever looks the way I want it to look. Even if I have some extra weight that I'd love to lose and haven't been able to yet. Even if I forget to pluck my eyebrows now and then and own 10 different lipsticks in the same color scheme. You will love me because I was born to love someone and you get to be the recipient of my love. You will love me because I want to learn about the things you love and will do my best to love them, too. I am waiting to be taken care of by you and waiting to take care of you, too.
I'm not looking for "instant love" or a quick roll in the sack. I don't expect to fall in love over that first cup of coffee, nor do I expect that of you. Love and friendship take time. Once you know me, though, you will know that it's well worth the wait.

The first date has so much pressure put on it. I like the first meeting/date to be stress-free and simple...browsing the book stores...a nice stroll through a museum on a Saturday...how about the Farmer's Market? A walk in the woods at The Nature Center would be awesome, with a cup of iced chai tea and Java Live downtown. The first date should be a time of getting to know one another and having fun. We can decide once we reach that point.
