A gentle, mellow, loyal and dedicated man of some intelligence has a kind disposition, retired after 26 years of military service. Some find me caring and compassionate. I do enjoy organic gardening and the outdoors. Hobbies over the years have been stamps collecting, genealogy, fly-fishing/tying, calligraphy, photography and computer. Gardening (Rural Garden Shed) and ecology forums allow my expression of knowledge and understanding; known to have signed (Care2) a few important petitions. It has been years since I went camping but the skills remain. My social skills are getting rusty from absence. I am active with Toastmasters. I can ski, skate and cycle. I am active in on-line gardening forums and push organic choices.

Sharing interests is great but also appreciate need for individual time. Enjoy dances, CBC (1 & 2), holding hands and a warm hug. I am comfortable in the kitchen and minor repairs. Willing to work towards a longterm relationship and can relocate after relationship established.

The important aspect is simply talking and appreciating individual qualities evident during the contact. A nice quiet spot without interruption may be a pleasant walk in a park or a trail, even a corner in a coffee shop or restaurant. Feeling comfortable with a meeting(s) means ability to look into her eyes and sense the emotions in a voice. Call it chemistry but knowing you want a second date just to share more conversation is a positive sign. We can make a decision on the nature of a second date.
