Hedonistic? That's me in a nutshell. I'm a sunworshipper, and I enjoy traveling to gorgeous beaches whenever possible, taking photographs of interesting places, and people, and writing travel articles for publication.

My friends tell me I should be a stand-up comedienne because my sarcastic humor is a trademark, and I enjoy others with a quick wit and snappy comeback. I take my work seriously but I don't take myself seriously. Life is too short.

I'm looking for a guy with intelligence, nice eyes, good grooming, and knows the value of dental hygiene. (No, I am not kidding here). I prefer someone whose hair is shorter than mine, and who doesn't think watching sports on TV EVERY night of the week is what you are supposed to do with your significant other.

A man who knows how to dress for the occasion is a plus, and who treats women with respect as equals, except maybe in the bedroom, where they should be a bit on the dominant side, as I am passive/aggressive. There, I appreciate a man who knows what he's doing and who enjoys taking all night (or all day) to do it. Quick-draw Macgraws need not apply...or love 'em and leave 'em types. Not into one night stands or head games. I am a romantic at heart. If you are too, then we will get along fine.

I like all kinds of music, except maybe opera and rap. I dance alone most of the time but wouldn't mind a partner, and I truly believe that "Laughter is the Best Medicine."

I live in Mid-Missouri right now, but really don't plan on staying here longer than a few more years. When I can have the fundage and my house is paid off, I plan on moving someplace where the weather is warm all the time, and I can jump into some waves within a short drive or walk.

I like people and can be social and sociable, but I spend a lot of my time alone, mostly because of working 2 jobs right now to make ends meet. Find me and take me away from all this drudgery!

I am a gourmet cook, and can prepare a meal that will make your mouth and tummy happy, happy, happy --- if not the rest of you as well. When I'm not cooking or writing, I dance around the room in my tennis shoes, and sometimes I sing karaoke.

I like children, but I raised my mother's 6 children after her death when I was 9, so I prefer the role of auntie now, when I can give them back when they cry or need changing. I think being around young people keeps me younger in spirit, and I try to keep my inner child rather close to the surface, most of the time.

I play in Scrabble tournaments and like to swim for recreation. When I am not working, I teach art classes, and do make-overs. I am also a make-up artist and color consultant so it is fun teaching women how to use make up and not look like a painted up doll, but natural and beautiful as every woman is. Two cosmetologists and I do wedding parties, hair and make-up, which is great fun.

First dates are always a bit dicey. I think they should be on neutral territory with a chance to talk (not a noisy bar where you have to yell to be heard or a movie where you don't talk to each other) and get to know each other better. A picnic lunch in a park or a walk by a lake...I'm fairly easy to please, but I think communication is key in any encounter or relationship.
