Sometimes it is so hard to look what has happened to our world, all the war and hate and destruction. But I don't want to dispair, but to open up my life to happiness and hopefully, the ultimate romance and love of my life. I know these online sites make it look so easy, but it is not, I know. Chemistry is important, but so is being genuine, kind, compassionate, forward thinking, independent, and having the ability to be vulnerable to love. I'm a complex man. I'm physically very active, I have a great job that I love, I'm aware and engaged in life. But I'm also cautious, introspective and can be quite reserved at times. I'm passionate, but keep myself under control. I've lived many life chapters and can handle myself in most situations, but I don't by any means consider myself superior. In fact I have little tolerance for pretension and arrogance. I'd like to meet someone who is adventurous, thinks for herself, values quality over quantity, and radiates kindness and beauty from the inside out. It is important that you put a premium on healthy eating, staying fit, and living fully engaged in life. Your age is not necessarily a factor but it's not irrelevant either, the same with distance. It's all about the connection first, and then you deal with the obstacles that make getting together and keeping the connection alive later.

I think there is a big difference between a first meeting and a first date. For a first meeting, I prefer a nice long walk. That way we can talk, but let the physical nature of the walk reduce our stress, and also it's a great way to see what a person perceives while walking. Do they see the sky, clouds, feel the wind or see an interesting tree. Is nature a natural part of your perception or are you inside your own head too much. For a first date, I really like going out to some ethnic restaurant for a casual dinner, sip some wine and look directly into each other's faces to see the story of our lives. I'm not big on big impressionistic first dates, as if there was something to prove right out of the gate. Each step should be like a building block, start with a nice foundation and before you know it, well, you've built your temple.
