At my age and stage of the game, marriage is no longer an issue or desire. been there...but, if I meet a good match, I won't deny myself the pleasure of good company.

First Date
I prefer a first "meet" before a first date.
I like to keep it simple. coffee, long walk on a short pier, a drink, a bank heist.....somewhere without a crowd where we can hear each other talk.
a first date can be a movie, live music in a small venue, the breakfast/lunch/dinner special at some rusty spoon (somehow a greasy one sounds so...um less appealing?), skateboarding at the mall....again, keeping it simple. it's the company that counts, not the cost of the date.
