You know what I'm really enjoying right now? Sitting on the west-facing deck after sunset, with the torches lit and a small fire in the fire-pit, making s'mores, with friends, kids, or both. Add in a glass of wine or a tasty cider, and it's just about the most relaxing thing going. Just saying, is all. Oh, and Dexter rocks.

I'm an INTJ (sometimes intp), for those of you into Myers-Briggs typing. I am, however, a very OUTGOING introvert. I'm shy at times, but usually "not so much." I just need my personal downtime to recharge. I give as much of my personal time as I can to the community. I "do" the Furry Scurry for the Denver Dumb Friends' League, as well as giving what I can to our local humane society. I find this especially important in our current economic climate.

I love Mexican food, it's as much a staple as anything around here... I eat vegetarian a measurable fraction of the time. I love a good steak. I adore sushi. I get as much enjoyment from the food when I travel (not often enough, nor have I been nearly enough places) as anything else. I live for new, "pure" flavors and styles. Good beer is heavenly, but so is a great white tea. To balance all that, I work out a few days a week.

Speaking of rants: I've seen too many people grow old before their time from deciding they have reached an age where they are "all grown up." I am not that person. I have no intention of ever being that person. Learning, growing, and just plain enjoying life is too fun to give it up until it's torn from my grasp. I'm also not afraid to make a fool of myself from time to time. I'd much rather sincerely apologize for stepping a little over the line in a harmless manner than to always be "safe" and never offend anyone. I think most of us will go to our last days regretting things we did NOT do more than we will regret the things we DID.

This depends entirely upon the person with whom I am going out. It would be silly to take someone who'd prefer coffee out on a long hike, don't you think?
