Where to start...

I love to hike in the summer and I'm a member of the Alpine Club of Canada. Last spring I went hiking in Frontenac Park with the group & I'm heading back there this weekend. Been hiking in the Presidential Range in NH. Hiked up to the Summit of Mount Jefferson. The summit is a little over 7000 feet. Last Spring I did some hiking down at the 1000 islands. Am I looking for an activity partner, no, We all have our hobbies and I'm just excited to talk about mine!

I've owned my own home in Belleville for over six years now and I've lived in Belleville now for nine years.

Communication and independence are important to me. I would like to meet a woman who isn't afraid to speak her mind and is confident in who she is.

Like to listen to Monty Python/Douglas Adams/Dave Berry. You know what, even product labels can be funny sometimes!

I'm not a bar fly in any sense of the word. I'd rather go see a comedian or live theatre. I went to see John Pinette at the Empire Theater and laughed for the entire 2 hour show! His skits about the wizard of oz buffet (if I could add it to my profile, I would. He's hilarious! When ever he said his tag line "get out of the line" I thought I'd split a gut! I like small town theatre - The Thousand Islands Playhouse rocks!

I work full time at a very ordinary job to pay the mortgage, because being an international jewel thief doesn't always pay the bills. Graduated recently as a returning student as a DSW and work part-time at that & full time someplace else.

I sponsor a little girl in Tanzania thru World Vision.

I haven't won any lotteries yet, someday..... Alas, you can't win if you don't play.

I like the phrase "Don't take life too seriously; you'll never get out of it alive."
- Don't know who attribute this too, but I first heard Bugs Bunny say it in one of the 1960s cartoons.

I like to punctuate my off time with spurts of adrenalin/excitement, like when I went skydiving or hot air ballooning or sky diving to celebrate my birthday. Even just waterskiing or ATVing at the cottage. OK, so what should I say about my self…I am outgoing, self-confident person, love to go out with friends, have fun! (Trite - Who doesn’t!?) I love adventures, to try new things in my life, stay active, it's really hard for me to stay still, but, I'm working on it....

I have been known to laugh at myself and I find that others who can do the same to be comfortable with who they are. I'd say that I'm pretty much predictable & practical. -- oh well, no one's perfect!

Done one thing on my list of things to do - went to Ireland. Now, I'm adding more to my bucket list;

Want to head to the Grand Canyon and see that new glass observation bridge/platform.

I'd rather "do something" for my birthday than just have a party/cake (chocolate is my fav. by the way). Anyone can have a party;
my 20s & 30s saw me bike through MA, NY, PQ, NS, AB
39 saw me go up in a hot air balloon,
40 saw me jump out of a plane at 9,000 ft, (would love to do it again)
41 saw me spend a week in Ireland,
42 saw me hiking in Frontenac Park,
43 saw me hiking in the Presidential Range in New Hampshire,
44 ?

Meet and greet and laughter with friend. If there's a connection, we could plan something more later. If there isn't, I've had a good conversation and I've made a friend (a win/win situation). All relationships are built on a solid foundation of trust and friendship. I prefer to take things slowly so we can discover new and exciting things about each other along the way.

Comedy clubs, casual diner, casually listening to music, checking out a new restaurant with a friend., going to a baseball game. Possibilities are endless... Life is enjoyable doing simple things like a conversation with friends on a patio in the summer or just a quiet walk by the water. Don't have to go skydiving everyday, but, I wouldn't turn down the opportunity.
