Although Biloxi is 350 miles away, I can drive it in just over 4 hours! And I do it frequently. I love Biloxi -- loved it before Katrina, and love it just as much now. It's not just the casinos, although I spend a fair amount of time (and $$) there. It's the beauty of the old oak trees, the silly seagulls squawking on the beaches, the resilient people patiently rebuilding their city, the wonderful seafood -- just the whole atmosphere.

Biloxi is not the only place that's fun to travel, of course. I love the mountains, cruises, Europe, the Caribbean, New England and Hong Kong. My next travel goal is a land/cruise trip to Alaska.

I'm looking for a friend, companion, travel partner, confidante, and perhaps a lover. I have been widowed for two years, and it's been a sad, lonely time of mourning. But I'm ready now to rejoin the world, so send me a note. Help me find my way back into the land of the living!

I was married for 20 years before my husband passed away, so it's been a long time since I've had much dating experience. My feeling is that a first date should be a time of establishing communication, preferably in a neutral setting where both people can feel comfortable. Something like a quiet dinner, a movie and after-movie coffee, or even a walk in the park would be appropriate. Sporting events could work, too, unless it was Nascar, which would be too loud to hear any conversation!
