About Me
I am a laid back, introspective, intellectual renaissance man. I love many things, and firmly believe that there everyone should mix with every kind of person. I am a very casual person most of the time, but I do enjoy dressing up for a night on the town. My weeknights are calm and relaxed, and on the weekends I enjoy going out to bars, listening to local bands, and enjoying a drink or two with friends.
I call myself a renaissance man because I know too much about too many things and am interested in all of them. This has been a blessing and a curse, as it makes it hard to decide what to do with myself. Science, history, literature, politics, philosophy, culture, all of it tickles my fancy. So much so that it's hard for me to start a conversation, because I don't know where to start! I tend to prompt people to give me a topic and I'll start from there.
I am terribly sarcastic. I tend to make jokes at other's expense, not because I wish to degrade them, but because I find opportunities to laugh and can't let them go. Most of the time my humor goes over other people's heads, so that kind of counteracts any bad karma I might get. I have no problem getting a dose of my own medicine, as long as it's still for laughs. If you've ever watched the show Mystery Science Theater 3000, that's what I do during every day life.
I use metaphors and similes almost to a fault. It's the easiest way for me to explain things, and I'm pretty good at them. However, mixed with my mountains of useless knowledge, this means most of those metaphors go over people's heads! A girl with the sarcasm and wit to compliment my own would call me a dork, but a lovable one.
First Date
Something that gives us an opportunity to talk, without forcing us to. Dinner is out, ladies. Probably something active, but not too basic. A walk in the park, a visit to an art gallery or museum, or something dumb like an arcade. I'm also very open to suggestion. If you wanna go skydiving or motorcycle polo or underwater soap carving, sure, why the hell not?
