First of all, I am NOT 58. I am 55. I just caught that bit of info on me and you can't change it after 2 weeks. Geez, I'll be 58 soon enough!
ABOUT YOU…here it goes, I am going to tell you what I and/am not looking for in a man first. In this way, you can skip reading through the dissertation about me. First of all, I am not looking for someone to put me on a pedestal, that usually doesn’t last for very long and once us women are up there, we don’t want to come down (but, we always come down, usually kicking and screaming), so why give us that little taste in the first place? I’m not looking to be treated like a queen because we usually become “ladies-in-waiting” fairly quickly and once you have had the queen status being lowered in rank almost always causes problems. I would settle for princess once in a while and if you make me feel like a princess once in a while, you can be sure I will make you feel like a prince in return. If you have children, I don’t expect to be first in your life, however I do expect to be a close second if a relationship develops. I would like to meet someone with a good sense of humor and who is not "full of himself." I want this person to be my best friend, confidante, lover and someone who can regard me as an equal partner. Trust is extremely important to me and I detest liars. You would have to love kids and like to be around other people because I have a rather large family and large circle of friends and they are everything to me. I am not looking for someone who is loud and boisterous, a "Mr. Know it All" or someone who has to be the center of attention all the time. Does this sound like you? Think we might be good together? ABOUT ME…..do you ever feel like something is missing in your life even though you have more friends and family than anyone could ever want? Ever feel lonely even though there are people all around you? I'm a 55 year old divorced woman who is feeling those feelings and am looking for someone to help make them go away. I have 2 grown (for the most part) girls who still live with me and as with most parents; they come first in my life. Summer is my favorite time of year. My favorite summer pastime is to just hang out by my pool and soak up the sun. I’m not a fan of cold weather, but deal with it as we all do. One of my interests is traveling. I make it a point to take at least 1 vacation every year, sometimes 2. I try to go to different places, but I do have my favorites. I enjoy reading, movies, going to festivals, outdoor concerts and Navy Pier is my favorite place in the city. I love spending time with my girls. They are both a lot of fun and we have great times together. I am a fun person to be with (so my friends tell me), very easy going and I have a pretty good sense of humor. I like to tease people and do get teased by people all the time. I love to cuddle, am very affectionate and enjoy small public displays of affection. I enjoy all kinds of music (except rap and opera), but classic rock and country are my favorites. I am 5'9” and I feel very uncomfortable with a man who is shorter than I am. I am not being shallow, it's just the way I am, so please be at least 5’10” if you are thinking about contacting me. I am not your "Barbie Doll" type and may have a few extra pounds on my body, but I am a good person and I know how to treat a man well as long as he treats me well. I am independent, passionate, hard working and very loyal. I would do anything for my family and friends. I am not high maintenance and little things make me happy, like a phone call in the middle of the day just to say you are thinking of me. I am not looking for a man to "take care" of me, nor am I looking to take care of anyone. I've hard a few hard knocks in life, but have always picked my self up, dusted myself off and got on with my life. My life is good right now, but a good man in it would make it even better.
