I'm starting over and looking forward to meeting someone who can be my partner. I believe a relationship is best when there is balance with each person picking up & carrying the other when warranted and walking together at other times. Partners share their individuality and both become better for it. Safe, open communication is the key; without it, you're just living together.

I have 3 daughters (part-time) that are central to my life and legacy. I spend all the time I can with them. I want whomever I meet to understand that, perhaps to have experienced it and want to be part of their lives as well as mine. I don't feel it would be fair to the kids to have more children of my own; I have no problems if you have some of your own.

Relaxing for me usually means a home improvement project, reading or taking walks to get away from things. (I'm totally falling for taking pictures of my kids & nature of late.) After a hard week at work, I enjoy kicking back with a glass of wine, a home-cooked meal and a movie or a night out with friends. While I've done winter vacations for skiing, nothing beats a week on a beach listening to the soothing sounds of the waves. (I just went to the Florida Keys for a week in March 2009.)

Musically, I listen to the following on XM: Hair Nation, Boneyard, Classic Rewind, Classic Vinyal, Symphony Hall and Pops. During my divorce, a friend got me hooked on Country; while I don't listen to it much any longer, I still have the "My life is a country music song waiting to happen" shirt she gave me.

Loud clubs and bars are in my past. I prefer places that are warm, friendly and make it easy to have a conversation.
