I like to have fun in life, playing either at the spur of the moment or planning ahead. The simple things mean a lot to me. Life doesn't have to be fancy to be great. A rustic cabin is as appealing as the Four Seasons. I'd like a partner that is able to really enjoy travel, the outdoors and also the simple pleasure of being at home.
I exercise a lot, running with friends several days a week, hiking or playing tennis. Fitness is very important to me but I'm not fanatical about it. Most travel is pretty active with hiking, snorkeling, skiing or just exploring a new area.
My children are all grown and self sufficient college graduates. They all live on their own, unfortunately not close, but we are great friends and like to play together but it's not the same as having my own best friend, lover, and playmate.
I rarely sleep late, feeling that I would be missing the greatest part of the day. An early morning run or walk to the beach for breakfast is a great way to start the day. I can ski hard during the day and still dress up for a nice evening. My friends say that I have a lot of energy but I'm equally happy with a lazy day, a good friend, good novel, fireplace and a friendly pooch.
I'm pretty easy going and don't get rattled easily. Life is pretty good and too short to worry over the little things. There are a lot of things to do and places to see, and I try to balance work and play to get the best of both worlds.
I'm fairly independent and financially secure but looking for someone to share the joys of life. I'd like to have a comfortable, trusting relationship. Personal values are important to me. Honored commitments, honesty, and loyalty are just a few examples. We don't have to have identical interests. Some interests in common would be great but I would also like to share what is important to you and share some of my own favorite things.
