I'm 6 feet tall, Italian, and have hazel-brown eyes that everyone always compliments. I'm intelligent, very silly and warmhearted underneath this tough exterior that hides my shyness, with a wicked grin and witty sense of humor. I'm old fashioned in a lot of ways, but much more romantic and open minded than that old stereotype.
I'm the guy who leaves a note in your coat pocket just to make you smile, always holds the door, offers my chair to a lady, etc, but i don't think i have to pay for everything while dating- that's sexist. I may not look like it, but i am a chivalrous romantic- i've even been known to pick flowers just because.
I love music of all kinds, but especially hard rock, jazz, jam-bands and acoustic. Music is my constant companion. Live music is one thing that will get me into a bar- i don't drink very often, although there's a time and place for everything.
I'm a complex person who likes simple things. There's aren't many things more satisfying for me than having a fire in the backyard, watching a Cavs game, going putt-putting with my son, making everyone laugh, or releasing a 4lb bass back into it's lake...except cooking a fantastic meal. I like going out sometimes, especially for unique foods, but relaxing at home is my favorite.
I'm not where i want to be, but i'm happy where i am- i have the same day to day struggles any other single parent does, but i control THEM, not vice-versa.
I'm the custodial parent of my 11yr old son who is here every other week... because it was the right thing to do, not because i prefer it: it's important to me that he has a strong relationship with his Mom/Stepdad/Half-siblings. We get along well and there is no drama between us. Usually, lol. My lil man is my Sun and i am only the moon: my light is not my own, it is a reflection of his...without him, i would be a lifeless satellite drifting.
Chemistry is my main motivation in seeking, not physicality. I crave a secure woman, first and foremost, who has stability in her life...because i do. However, i'm not a fan of T-shirt n sweats(outside the house)- i keep my hair trimmed, always smell great, etc and i like a woman who cares how she looks- not someone who keeps her hair pulled back everyday, doesn't own a dress, only wears sneakers, thinks its a special occasion bc her nails are painted, etc. That last 1 was kinda funny, lol.
Not obsessed with appearance, just conscious of it; a lil girly is very attractive.
I'm not superficial, it's just that sloppy is a huge turn off.
I'm finishing my Social Work degree and certifications for Gerontological Services,Therapeutic Activities, MRDD and Addictions Assistant this semester. After those are finished, i plan to finish up my degree in Psychology- i will have it in 2 semesters. I'm SO ready to be done!
Everyone says i'm one of the funniest people they know, and anyone near me is usually laughing. Although i come across very calm, capable, and in control, i am also shy, thoughtful, passionate, sincere and romantic: very deep. I'm very male, but very sensitive- it's a delicate balance, lol. Hard to describe me, but here goes:

I'm kind of a homebody, but I also love to go out and do things that aren't centered around sitting in a bar. Family activities are my favorite, but get me outdoors for any reason and i'm one happy guy! My favorite weekend thing to do when i can't be outside is to play cards-

I also like to watch TV- i admit it, but there are usually better options.
I'm a big, solid man(6'tall,240lb w/49"chest) and my presence is even bigger; but not intimidating. Comforting, is what i'm told...people feel safe when they're with me- i've heard it a million times. Some people mistake my kindness for weakness, which lets me know right away that they aren't a positive influence or a very good judge of character...because i'm extremely strong.
My greatest weakness is probably that i get frustrated over dumb things too easily- some guy on the highway veers into my lane and i have a middle finger flying out of the moonroof in seconds flat. The other thing that gets me flustered is trying to do too many things at once and being forced to rush...i hate rushing.
I'm warm n fuzzy underneath this candy-coated paintjob(LMAO!), and kids are my biggest soft spot- I'm a natural born Daddy, lol.
I love kids and they love me back- my neighbor's 3 girls all come running everytime they see me outside and i smile every time. They're sweeties! They even bring their report cards to me, lol! Great kids...but aren't they all, if pruned correctly?
I'm very family oriented, I enjoy being relaxed and keep my life calm & peaceful.
To me, a lack of chaos isn't boring: it's perfection.
I'm actually surprised i'm single and so are most people who know me well. The problem i keep having is that i meet women who NEED a relationship, instead of wanting one: searching for a savior, not a partner, because they haven't been able to achieve stability and want someone to do it for them. Nope, not me.
Respect and honesty are my only requirements from anyone, but it's extreeeemely important to me. Of course, full lips and a great butt never hurt, lol!!
I'm quite complex and deep, but honestly, it's the simple things that please me most.

Before i close, I must mention a couple things i can't accept(i'm an accepting guy who believes in second chances and sometimes thirds, but these are dealbreakers). No matter now i construct my profile, i consistently meet women with these these symptoms of a person who has unstable relationships that are more like a series of make ups, than a supportive, secure sanctuary and partnership.
Apparently every one also misses the part in my profile where i mention how i want to build a healthy relationship with someone who has achieved stability in their life(because i have), lol. Here are my dealbreakers:
1. Your kids don't live with you(no matter the excuse). 2. You believe it's ok to tell a white lie if i might not like the truth(i'll realize it, eventually). 3. You use Messenger or whatever chat program on a daily basis- ugh. 4. There are bartenders who know you by name. 5. You still live with your parents(it's really happened- twice!)

First dates absolutely must not be a movie!
Dinner is ok, or coffee; anywhere we could talk. Eye contact and intimacy!
It all depends on her, but i think my perfect date would be anywhere outside-
we could walk in the park and sit on a bench near the water, talking...if i REALLY liked her, i'd cook, we'd picnic, then make S'mores in the backyard for dessert.
