School is going great....!!! After the first week in class I finished with a 93% average. Now is the hard part.... learning to drive those 18 wheelers without doing any damage to anything..... YIKES! Steer clear ladies. Meanwhile still stuck with fragments of kidney stones left.... no fun at all :-(

Oh yeah and.... One year anniversary of being a non smoker... YOOHOO!!!

Just a down to earth guy, not seriously looking for anything at the moment other than intelligent/honest chit chat. I have a lot of things happening in my life at the moment. But I do welcome conversation/communication with people who are down to earth who don't have over blown egos, or are high and mighty on themselves.

Now getting settled into my country home, and living life out in a rural area outside of the city (yippy). I find my original country boy roots renewing, and intensifying the fact that I AM (always been, always will be), a country boy. I’ve never been a man about town at night type, and it's nice while staring up at the stars in the country sky to reflect upon what, or rather whom I am looking for in a partner/best friend.

I say best friend because I am hoping that the woman meant for me will also be my best friend. Now I hate to admit it, but I will because I can… attraction to my eyes is very important (along with a physical attraction I find a strong intellect also appealing). I can be quite picky (so my parents have said to me)! Both on an attractiveness level and on an intellectual one, I would have never had thought so, but it’s true. Even if a woman is extremely drop dead gorgeous, if we have nothing to talk about than it can and will get boring rather quickly. I am also not very interested in lazy girls. I apologize for being brutally honest, but no point in being misleading. So please I'd appreciate a picture, I have a few as you can see.

I guess I am looking for a woman who is a country soul at heart. Someone who like’s being in the great outdoors with fresh air as much than a posh downtown or market restaurant/patio. If you’d prefer to be sitting in a fishing boat with me jigging for walleye, or casting for pike and bass instead of wondering downtown amongst the hustle and bustle of crowded sidewalks… then you’d be the kind of gal for me. I am more attracted to women with class as oppose to women who are trashy.... you know, the tall leather boots and mini skirt slutty type (although sometimes a turn on, but not really someone I would want to be seen with all the time).

Yes I am a typical guy on some levels, I am sexual and deeply sensual, but sex isn’t a high priority on my list, nor is it a motivational factor for meeting someone. If it happens great if it doesn’t it is no big deal. It is not expected or required to simply just hang out with me, I know how to be a gentleman.

I am an artistic and creative, I like to draw, play guitar, and sing (although singing and playing the guitar together haven’t mastered yet, but it’s a work in progress). I enjoy learning about history (especially Canadian military history, because I feel their sacrifices have been grossly unappreciated, and under credited), I also love to learn about ancient civilizations.

I don’t feel like I need to have a drink to relax or to have a good time, or even to make someone laugh (that comes quite naturally to me). I am not oppose to someone who drinks, or smokes up once and a while, or even smokes… in moderation, but if your vices rule your life than your probably not for me. I am actually allergic to an ingredient in both beer and wine… which makes meeting up for a drink an unappealing event for me.

I am not out to waste anyone’s time or play head games (I don’t like it done to me so I don’t do it to anyone else). If I am sending you a note to say hi and introduce myself, it is because I’ve read your profile and feel that we may have something in common. That or I’d simply just like to get to know a little more about you, OR EVEN THAT I LIKED TO READ your profile and thought that it was a good read.
My life can be challenging at times, and things are not always easy --- ready or not. Some critical areas in my life can be difficult, and the resulting confusion and possible obscuration often makes it hard for me to see and act with normal clarity. Therefore, when it comes to those following factors I wish to exercise caution and extra patience. So in other words… I don’t like to rush into things.
