10/19/2009- WELL IT LOOKS LIKE I AM GOING TO TAKE A BREAK FROM THIS SITE FOR A WHILE.
I am an attorney who has enjoyed both success and failure in life. I am looking for woman who is hopefully up front and honest. I believe strongly in the power of communication. I am not looking to jump into a serious relationship nor would I rule one out if the right woman came along. But at this point in time, I am not looking for a serious long term relationship. I'd like to find someone who wants to just have fun and see where it takes us. I believe in true romance. I am always a gentlemen, you'll never open another door for yourself if I'm around. But I'm also a guy, so if I like you I will totally hit on you. Wink.

I am fun, laid back, caring guy with relentlessly sarcastic sense of humor. I love women who can keep up intellectually and in the humor department. I enjoy all sorts of leisure activities and live life to the fullest. I am looking for an open minded, sweet, drama-free women to be friends first. I am far from perfect and definitely have my flaws, but I am ALWAY HONEST and I have never cheated on anyone in my life. I just accepted a new job in Houston and have had some interesting times since I moved here(3 weeks before Ike hit- lucky me!).

I am a big music fan and love classic rock-n-roll, folk, bluegrass, reggae, jazz, and soul music. Extra points if you've ever seen the band Phish live. I have lots of friends who are musicians and have traveled the world to see the bands that I love. I have 3 border collies that are the loves of my life- if you hate dogs, keep searching. I love college basketball and pro football. My teams are the Dallas Cowboys and the greatest college basketball school around- the Kansas Jayhawks!!!!

Things I find funny about girls on pof and will make me laugh:
1. Girls who pose in sexy poses and then have headlines that read "I'm tired of getting hit up by players" etc. Well duh, if you don't stand there naked holding a pair of handcuffs, then you will probably increase the quality of guys who contact you.

2. Girls who claim they are into photography(or work as a photographer) and then have terrible profile pix. Thats pretty funny.

3. Girls who describe unrealistic first date options. This is online dating ladies. First date should be simple and direct and meant to find out if we have anything in common. I'll take you to Paris and walk on the beach on the second date. Lol.

4. Girls who act like they are waaaaay too cool for this site. Why are you even here? Lets be honest, we are all here for the same reason. To find someone to bring a little happiness in our life. Granted, certain people have different ideas of what that is. But if you are brutal on your profile and act like its my privilege to be able to talk to you, I will laugh. It doesn't matter how hot you think you are, you are no better than the gap toothed, hair lip, fat, ugly, 9 kids by 8 different men type girls that are on here. Everyone wants somebody to love, so get over yourself. You can be picky without being a total ass about it.

5. I hate to burst your bubble on this one... Why post pictures of your kids faces? I will be even more puzzled if you post those pictures on the same profile that contains statements about how online guys are jerks/predators/etc. Do you seriously not see the danger of this? A child molester can tell where you live(e.g. Tomball, humble, Cypress, NW Houston, etc.), they can use that information to guess where your kids might go to school, can go to that school and use YOUR PROFILE PICTURE to find your kid, and then use your personal profile info(you're divorced, have 2 dogs, live with roommates, etc.) to lure them away. Some of you even list their ages and names! Are you kidding? Jesus ladies, I don't even have kids(nor do I molest them...lol) and I can figure that out. Watch out for your children. Its fine to be proud of them, but don't hang them out there as online predator bait. Seriously... Why does a guy, you don't even know, need to see what your kids look like? Why does he need to know their names, addresses, ages? This really does irk me.

6. I will only quit using this site, if we start getting a little serious. Had to add this one. If you message me a time or two but we have never met, do not be offended if you still see me on this site. If we go out once, don't expect me to quit checking this site. This is a dating website, so one message/date does not mean we are now engaged. I have NO problems being faithful/etc. So do not expect me to pull down my profile/etc unless we are hitting it off. I am always honest and it starts right here- I will quit dating when I find someone that I think could be a girlfriend. If you don't fall into that category yet, keep trying... Lol. I'm not the jealous type and ask the same from you. You will never hear me ask you to take down your profile or quit visiting this site. That is a personal decision you should make when/if you find someone special.

7. It will be tough for me to believe you have a recent photo of yourself, if in all 8 pics you look completely different. I swear, some of you ladies don't even look anything like the other pictures. 8 different hair lengths, 8 different colors, 8 different skin tones, looking like 8 different nationalities, 8 different facial appearances, one pic u look 13/the other you look 65, Some you have teeth/others you dont, Some you smile/others you look like an axe murderer. I'm all for changing up your style. I am just saying its tough to believe ALL 8 pics are recent if they are so radically different. Looks aren't everything, but they are important.

Work like you don't need the money. Love like you've never been hurt. Dance like nobody is watching.
