So let's see ... what to say? I'm a California-born Texan who escaped to the Northeast for college, then work, then grad school. My friends would describe me as warm but honest (sometimes brutally), sweet but a little sarcastic, and silly but intelligent and ambitious.

I recently moved to Chicago, and I'm loving it so far. I've really enjoyed discovering all it has to offer ... if you have any tips, send me a message. :)

I can throw down in the kitchen ... if you doubt me try my fried chicken, mac & cheese, and pound cake. My favorite Sunday activity is relaxing at my place with a few friends and a great dinner.

I caught the travel bug a few years ago, and I've been to 9 countries since then. The whole world is an accessible opportunity with just a click (and a chunk of change) -- can't wait for more but the loans and the job are priority #1 for a bit. :)

I have a pretty varied taste in music .... right now I'm lovin' Lil Wayne, Jay-Z & B, John Legend, Feist, Billie Holiday, Jason Mraz, John Mayer and Amy Winehouse. I'm open to anything .. grew up listening to everything from Garth Brooks to Green Day to R. Kelly.

If I had unlimited funding, I'd open a charter school then a restaurant then go back to school (again) and get a degree in sociology or education.
