I'm a one-man woman and believe that even the more "ordinary" moments in life are best when shared with a person you thorougly enjoy. And, since it is virtually impossible to sum-up one's personality, likes and dislikes, and attitudes in a few brief sentences, this is a very short summary of things which interest me and make up my life. My mother is Italian and my dad was from the Canary Islands of Spanish descent. I am also fluent in Spanish and manage in Italian. I work in the IT business in Ft. Lauderdale and struggling with the never ending demands of single parenthood. I have a son (18 yrs old) in college and a mutt (6 yrs old) and I enjoy the Florida lifestyle and love to be in the outdoors. I am tall, and fit but not fanatical (5'9" & size 8) and like a true multi-cultural S. Florida girl am comfortable in any environment. Which means I equally enjoy hanging out at a BBQ & or getting all dressed up and having a night on the town. I hope to meet different kinds of people that I don't usually encounter in my daily life. They should be good conversationalists, enjoy good books, the movies, nice dinners....blah, blah, blah. I mean who doesn't. Rather than specific interests I insist on surrounding myself with people who have a very positive outlook on life and take full advantage of every opportunity to live it!
I consider myself attractive, intelligent and know how to have a good time. A person of integrity, with no child-rearing, family, nor extreme job, nor financial, obligations. I am confident and comfortable in my life. I believe I am a better listener/communicator than most. I am naturally curious and have been a political and news junkie since my early college days.
I am NOT looking for the run-of-the-mill "beer and sports-minded" guy.
First Date
First dates can be really awkward that it's hard to say. Being yourself is absolutely crucial and not be afraid to take a chance . So let's do something that's stress-free, relaxing, and maybe even have a laugh or two!
As for what I am looking for...I hope for another good friend. You can never have too many friends in this life. And, it's almost impossible to be more specific at this time. In other words, I need to know more about YOU.
