I enjoy people not scenes...guys who don't try too hard and respect themselves for who they are. There's more to my life than being gay. I'm happy staying at home reading a book but do need to balance it with externals. I love rock climbing (indoor), non-commercial music, reading, the arts, subculture, conversation, unconvention, meditation, and adventure in as many forms as possible. Pretty much LTR minded, but I go with the flow. I have a low tolerance for materialism, and status-conscious people. Living a passionate life is more important to me than living a life of "security".
Typically, I like fit fuzzy guys, but nothing is set in stone. It's the inner world that counts: a guy with confidence, emotionally maturity, independence, and into life & personal growth...basically a guy who consciously examines his experiences and does the best he can to make the most of himself. This involves looking squarely at those aspects of ourselves that we try to avoid and learning to unblock whatever it is that prevents us from being who we are really meant to be in this world. Though the surface isn't everything I do feel that there has to be mutual physical attraction to make a relationship whole. Above all, friendship is what matters most, for the good times and the "bad".
I can honestly say that I feel complete in myself and do not need anyone in my life to experience a sense of fulfillment and completion. I believe we're all inherently complete and when it comes to experiencing genuine love, YOU HAVE TO START WITH YOURSELF and experience yourself as being the source of it. That means being yourself by honoring your uniqueness and your path by doing your own thing and not following the crowd. Otherwise, you'll be investing your happiness on an external, forever searching and changing yourself to conform to a constructed idea of what's attractive.
Just BE yourself, DO YOUR OWN THING, and be PASSIONATE about it! :-P
