Well let's see, If I was to write a brief summary of who I am and what I'm about, I guess I would start by saying that I was raised old school. I had values and morals implanted in me by strong Christian grandparents. I have tried to model myself after them in many repects. I believe integrity is what makes a man. I was a deacon and taught Sunday School and was raised in the church from the age of seven.

I still believe in romance and love, and I believe with the right person every day can be romantic. I believe honesty is a key factor in a successful relationship, and that one little lie can start the building of a wall that will eventually become unbreachable. Most couples never attain true bliss due to trust related issues, and therefore never truly live their lives experiencing what only a select few have achieved. I want something deeper than what the average relationship has to offer- one that trancends the normal barriers so often limiting the ability to live life to the fullest. What I mean to say is I want a love so deep that the very air I breathe is filled with the aroma of that significant other, and when I am away from that person our hearts are connected. Am I asking for something impossible? No, because Iv'e seen it in the life of my grandparents. Up until my grandfather passed away he was affectionate and loving to my grandmother, and always displayed romantic gestures.

Of course the chemistry has to co-exist for this to happen, and this still does not gaurantee that love will happen even in a long standing relationship. For love is still a profound mystery that even Science cannot put an equation to. Yet as for me, I don't put much faith in the laws of Science, for the only one who holds the true answer of love is the author himself- Jesus Christ. Now, I'm not looking for a perfect mate, for everyone including myself has flaws and things in their past they can't make go away. Yet I do want to share my life with someone who values the simple things in life, like holding hands, soft kisses in a park or a street corner, or a banket beneath the stars. A nice embrace beneath a moonlit sky......there is something about the moonlight that enhances beauty, the way the light filters through the hair, makes the eyes sparkle and the skin radiant- it is almost an intoxicating feeling......well enough of that. I just want someone who knows what romance is and understands love is more than just a word. I have never understood the concept of how the word is used so commonly only after a short time of knowing someone, not to say that it can't happen immediately, yet true love goes through tests and and truly getting to know someone.

I also like to wine and dine and occasionally go out on the town, and love going to the beach to camp, and yes I do hotels too-however I prefer the outdoors. In the summer I tend to live by the water, either at a pool lake or ocean.

I also have done competitive bodybuilding ( all natural) and love the sport, I have been doing it for over twenty years, not that I expect my girl to share the same enthuisiam, I just want her to take care of herself. I also am a artist and was in the League of Roanoke (Va.) artists, I do mostly fantasy art. I also write fiction.

I tend to want to help people, and always want them to feel good about themselves, and would rather not dwell on the negative aspects of anything. I am a very affectionate person, and am not afraid to show my feelings. Life is too short, not to tell others that are close to you how you feel.

I don't believe there is a set standard for going out for the first time......it all depends on the person. I'm also game for going for a stroll in the park- it does not have to be formal.
